Patent number: 7612286Abstract: An improved bridge-shaped molded plastic passageway to carry an automotive wiring harness over a driveshaft tunnel in an automobile chassis is disclosed. The passageway is made up of conforming base and cover components joined by two parallel hinged connectors. The base and cover are molded in a co-oriented condition so the cover is right-side-up relative to the base in both the open and closed conditions. Closing the passageway is accomplished by rectilinear movement of the cover relative to the base and the connector elements are concealed within the passageway when closed. Mold height and draw are dramatically reduced by this design.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2006Date of Patent: November 3, 2009Assignee: Yazaki North America, Inc.Inventors: Douglas Christian Lipp, Jeremy Nathaniel King

Publication number: 20060196216Abstract: An air conditioning system is provided that includes first and second turbines and a compressor. The second turbine is in fluid communication with a pack outlet. A passage fluidly connects the first turbine and the pack outlet. A valve is associated with the passages and is movable between open and closed positions. In the open position, the valve permits flow through the passageway from the first turbine directly to the pack outlet thereby bypassing the second turbine and reducing the resistance to the flow through the system. The valve is opened at higher altitudes to change the typical series fluid connection between the turbines to a parallel fluid connection. In this configuration, the air conditioning system operates more efficiently using reduced air pressure provided to the system. Another valve is also opened to permit additional reduction in the air pressure required.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2005Publication date: September 7, 2006Inventors: Louis Bruno, Douglas Christians

The bag handler can include a bag opening mechanism and a means for maintaining the bag in an open configuration, once the bag has been opened. The bag presenter is useful for handling non-wicketed bags and can be used to convert a packaging machine from reliance on wicketed bags to use of non-wicketed bags.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2003Date of Patent: December 20, 2005Assignee: Boss Packaging Inc.Inventors: Douglas Christian Greening, Authur Stephen Withington, Ralph Enzler
