  • Publication number: 20090010637
Abstract: An adjustable mount is disclosed for securing a piece of equipment 12 to another member. The adjustable mount includes a first member attachable to the other member and an elongated member secured at one end to the first member. A sphere is attached to the opposite end of the elongated member. A pair of plates is aligned parallel to one another and is spaced apart by a set distance. Each of the pair of plates has an aperture formed therein which is sized to mate with a portion of the sphere to enable the pair of plates to rotate, pivot and/or swivel on the sphere. The adjustable mount further includes a support structure secured to the pair of plates which is capable of having a piece of equipment 12 attached thereto. Lastly, the adjustable mount includes an adjustment mechanism capable of changing the set distance between the pair of plates.

  • Publication number: 20030094084
Abstract: A knife and cutting board combination, in which the knife blade is attached to a swing assembly, where the swing assembly has vertical supports and swing arms. Attaching the blade to the swing assembly allows the entire knife to be elevated above the cutting board and further allows the knife blade to move both vertically and longitudinally with respect to the cutting board. The vertical supports may be attached to the cutting board or the vertical supports may be part of a rotating base. A spring sleeve assembly is disclosed which allows any common kitchen knife to be attached to the swing assembly.
