  • Publication number: 20160207802
Abstract: A liquid waste cleaning station for removing solids is described. The station comprises at least one pump for pumping liquid waste through the station. A floc-delivery module is provided, in fluid communication with the at least one pump for preparing and metering into the liquid waste a selected quantity of flocculent material. A blender in fluid communication with the floc-delivery module subjects the mixture of liquid waste and flocculent material to both mixing action and time to promote flocculation. A filtering device in fluid communication with the blender provides a pore size suitable for retaining formed floc, thereby removing it from the separated water portion. A liquid waste cleaning process to remove solids is also described.

  • Patent number: 8684095
Abstract: A pipe setting tool includes a tool shaft, a coupler mounted on a first end of the tool shaft, and a tool sleeve affixed to the tool shaft defining a space therebetween. An outside diameter of the tool sleeve ensures close conformity to a borehole to position a geothermal pipe mounted thereto in close proximity to the outside diameter of the borehole. A moveable seal cap may be mounted on the tool shaft, moveable between a first position spaced-apart from the tool sleeve during down-hole movement of the tool to permit fluid flow through the space and a second position against the tool sleeve during up-hole movement of the tool to establish a seal with the tool sleeve to prevent fluid flow through the space. A second end of the tool shaft may receive a pipe hook to attach a geothermal pipe to the pipe setting tool.

  • Publication number: 20130015141
Abstract: A method may include providing a returned fluid comprising a fluid; and a solid contaminant; introducing the returned fluid into a solid-liquid sorter thereby separating the returned fluid into an overflow and underflow; flocculating the underflow in a flocculating chamber thereby forming a flocculated fluid; and dewatering the flocculated fluid using a dewatering rack.

  • Publication number: 20130015115
Abstract: A flocculation and dewatering system may include a solid-liquid sorter; a flocculation chamber including a flocculation trough that comprises at least one baffle; an injection port for introducing a flocculant; and an outlet for removing a flocculated fluid; a dewatering rack in which the outlet introduces the flocculated fluid into the dewatering rack that comprises at least one filtration collection bag; a filter press; and a pump for pumping fluids in a conduit network running at least partially through the flocculation and dewatering system.

  • Patent number: 7214323
Abstract: A method of treating fluid body waste material includes, separating the material into factions, in which the solids content of one faction is increased substantially relative to the originating waste material, while a second faction has an increased liquid content. Material is pumped from a storage facility, passing through a first screen. Retained solid material is removed from the screen while partially cleansed liquid passes to a holding tank. The partially cleansed liquid is then passed through one or more cyclone separators. The output containing larger particles is passed to a second, finer screen with further removal of solids. A further output from the cyclone separator, of substantially clean liquid is fed partly back into the holding tank and partly back into the storage facility. Agitation of the waste material in the storage facility can be provided.

  • Patent number: 5779355
Abstract: A multiple shear mixing apparatus for forming or treating solid-liquid mixtures including a pump selected for handling the solid-liquid mixtures, a rigid shear filter, a jet nozzle, a vacuum chamber surrounding the jet nozzle and having at least one port for introducing materials, a venturi tube coupled with the jet nozzle, a storage tank for the mixture having an internal jet mixer therein, the above components being connected in series such that storage tank contents are pumped through the screen filter, through the jet nozzle, through the chamber and through the venturi tube back to the storage tank. A bleed is fed preferably from between the shear filter and nozzle to drive the internal jet mixer. After cycling through this series of components until uniformly blended, product is withdrawn between the shear filter and nozzle.
