  • Patent number: 11059503
Abstract: System and methods are provided for warning a worker of a rail vehicle, or an operator of the rail vehicle of the worker. The system includes a worker device, a vehicle device, and a central server. The devices and server operate on one or a combination of actual or simulated satellite navigational signals, and beacon signals to determine the position of the devices, to generate a warning. The position determination may prioritize beacon signals over satellite navigation signals. The position determination may involve correcting a calculated position based on a measured power level of the beacon signal received from the beacon transmitter, an elapsed time since a previous beacon signal was last received by the device from the beacon transmitter, an elapsed time since a previous satellite navigation signal was received by the device, or an accuracy of the position of the device based on the satellite navigation signal.

  • Patent number: 10669847
Abstract: A technique facilitates obtaining samples of well fluid or other fluid. A sampling tool comprises a sample chamber for collecting the fluid sample. Access to the sample chamber is controlled with a rod shiftable within the sampling tool. Additionally, a locking mechanism works in cooperation with the rod to lock the rod against undesirable movement at various stages of the sampling operation. The locking mechanism may comprise a pair of locking features which engage a groove in the rod to initially block inadvertent closure of access to the sample chamber and subsequently to block inadvertent opening of access to the sample chamber after collection of the fluid sample.

  • Patent number: 10555707
Abstract: A patient support system includes a support beam that may translocate along an axial axis of a medical imaging system. At least a portion of the support beam may be disposed within a central bore of the medical imaging system. The patient support system also includes a patient support removably coupled to the support beam and including a backing that may support a patient during an imaging procedure and a restraint extending a longitudinal length of the backing. The restraint includes a first end coupled to the backing and a second end that may be removably coupled to the support beam, and the restraint may secure the patient support to the support beam and to restrain the patient within the patient support.

  • Publication number: 20190308924
Abstract: The invention provides (meth)acrylic oligomers prepared from C1-C20 alkyl and C5-C20 cycloalkyl (meth)acrylates, wherein said oligomers have a Mn of about 300 g/mole to about 3,000 g/mole; a Mw of about 700 g/mole to about 6,000 g/mole; a Mz of about 900 g/mole to about 10,000 g/mole. The oligomers may have a Yellowness Index, according to ASTM E313 of less than 2. The oligomers of the invention are useful as tackifiers in adhesive compositions, but also are believed to be useful also in general polymer modification as plasticizers, leveling agents, viscosity reducers (i.e., rheology modifiers), and for increasing solids content in solvent-borne applications of all types with little detrimental impact on viscosity. The invention also provides adhesive compositions and laminate articles coated on at least one side with the adhesive compositions of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20180256656
Abstract: The present invention relates to therapeutic use of a combination of Myxoma virus, including in combination with rapamycin. Treatment with rapamycin enhances the ability of Myxoma virus to selectively infect cells that have a deficient innate anti-viral response, including cells that are not responsive to interferon. The combination of rapamycin and Myxoma virus can be used to treat diseases characterized by the presence of such cells, including cancer. The invention also relates to therapeutic use of Myxoma virus that does not express functional M135R.
