Abstract: Disclosed are a retractable tie-down cord assembly and a removable tie-down assembly for securing cargo in the cargo area of a station wagon, utility vehicle, mini van or the like. In one embodiment the tie-down cord assemblies also provides for a tie-down cords to be stored in the interior side wall of the vehicle and the tie-down cord hooks to be stored on the interior side wall of the vehicle and positioned so as to be available as utility hooks within the cargo area.

Abstract: A vehicular carpet assembly comprising an underlayment or pad attached to a carpet material. A conduit is attached to the underlayment. The conduit is adapted to receive an elongated flexible member of a type including electrical wiring, release cables, fluid hoses and the like.

Abstract: A vehicle cargo tie-down apparatus includes a grommet rotatably retaining a pin having an attached tie-down ring. The grommet has a generally tubular body with the pin positioned in a central aperture. Typically, the grommet body is positioned in a larger diameter first aperture in a trim piece and has a pair of resilient legs extending through a smaller diameter second aperture in a supporting wall covered by the trim piece. The pin is rotatably retained in the central aperture by a radially extending flange at one end and a locking flange at an opposite end and the legs prevent removal of the grommet from the supporting wall.
