Abstract: An implementation of a technology, described herein, for facilitating the ease of handling and exchange of digital images. With at least one implementation of the invention, described herein, a set of selected digital images are collected together into a self-contained package called a photo album. This album includes the selected images and executable software to view such images. This album may be transmitted (typically, via email) to another via a network, such as the Internet.
