    Abstract: A device, kit and surgical method are disclosed in which fibrous connective tissues to be attached to bone are protected by a sleeve. Applications exist for ligament, tendon and tenodesis surgeries. The sleeve may be woven, may be tightenable around a distal end of a fibrous connective tissue, and may be formed of non-absorbable materials, absorbable materials combinations thereof. The sleeve may include a biologic material. The sleeve may protect bone cortex regions. A tool may be provided to assist with attachment of the sleeve to the distal end portion. The fibrous connective tissues may be attached to the bone with a screw or a button.
