  • Publication number: 20210253460
Abstract: A hybrid membrane aerated biofilm reactor (MABR) and activated sludge (AS) system and process are described herein. At least a portion of the AS system includes aerobic mixed liquor, for example in an aerobic tank or zone downstream of a tank or zone containing membrane aerated biofilm modules. The flow of air to the membrane aerated biofilm is modulated considering the ammonia loading rate to the system or to the aerobic mixed liquor, for example according to a diurnal cycle. For example, air flow to the membrane supported biofilm can be below an average or initial air flow rate during a period of low ammonia loading. Air flow to the aerobic mixed liquor may remain essentially constants during the same period. Optionally, mixed liquor around the membrane aerated biofilm modules may be aerated during a period of high ammonia loading.

  • Publication number: 20210232626
Abstract: The present technology relates to identifying one of a plurality of artificial intelligence models based on a received key value. The received key value is applied to the identified one of the artificial intelligence models which is trained to output one of a plurality of actual index values. The one of the actual index values is compared to a range within the actual index values to determine when the one of the actual index value points to the data block. A received input-output operation is performed on the data block when the one of the actual index values is determined to point to the data block.

  • Publication number: 20210232716
Abstract: A method of automatically identifying a network of geometries is performed on a data processing system. The method includes receiving one or more geometries having all or part of a network of geometries; recognizing adjacent tangencies to automatically identify another geometry in the network, or to determine that each geometry is connected to its neighbor through adjacent tangencies; repeating the recognition step until all geometries forming the network of geometries have been determined; and labelling the identified network as a slotdog.

  • Publication number: 20210187263
Abstract: An applicator for a microprojection array is described. In one embodiment, the applicator comprises an energy-storing element. Application of force causes the compressed energy-storing element to extend or transition from first and second configurations, releasing stored energy to deploy a holding member in the application which is configured to hold an array of microprojections. In another embodiment, the applicator comprises an energy storing element with two stable configurations, a first stable configuration and second stable configuration. Application of force causes the energy-storing element to transition from the higher energy first stable configuration to the lower energy second stable configuration, releasing the difference in energies of the two states to deploy a holding member in the application which is configured to hold an array of microprojections.

  • Publication number: 20210171375
Abstract: Wastewater with high ammonia concentration is pre-treated before discharging it into a wastewater treatment plant treating lower strength wastewater, for example an activated sludge plant treating municipal sewage. The high strength wastewater is pre-treated to oxidize ammonia by contact with a fixed film supported on gas transfer membranes in a membrane aerated biofilm reactor. The pre-treatment may be a batch or continuous process. The pre-treatment can be controlled to remove ammonia to about the point of material alkalinity depletion. One or more parameters such as alkalinity, pH, or membrane exhaust oxygen concentration can be monitored to determine if alkalinity depletion has occurred or is about to occur. In some examples, the high strength wastewater is blended with wastewater having less ammonia and more alkalinity, for example municipal sewage or primary effluent. In some examples, the high strength wastewater is a liquid fraction of one or more sludges.

  • Publication number: 20210074401
Abstract: A drug pricing system receives a request for drug pricing from a pharmacy comprised in part of a unique set of identifiers that routes the drug pricing request to the drug pricing system, obtains drug prices from a user's insurance company based on the user's insurance information, obtains drug prices from multiple pharmacy benefit managers, and determines a lowest drug price. The drug pricing system sends a digital alert to a user interface when the user prefers to use the insurance price and the insurance price is more than the lower PBM price. In response to the digital alert, the drug pricing system receives a response from the user interface that includes an updated user preference, which the drug pricing system stores in a user profile. The drug pricing system returns to the pharmacy the drug price according to the updated user preference.

  • Publication number: 20200372988
Abstract: A system according to certain aspects of the disclosure provides drug pricing information from multiple PBMs to users. For example, the system may obtain, calculate, and/or estimate drug prices that are available under contracts or agreements between PBMs and various pharmacies. These prices may be prices of drugs for purchase at the various pharmacies. In response to requests for prices of particular drugs, the system can display relevant prices. For example, the system displays a price for each pharmacy chain and/or displays prices for a particular geographical area. The users can compare the prices for a particular drug and determine which pharmacy they would like to purchase the drug from. The system can provide a discount coupon that allows the users to purchase the drug at the price listed by the system at the selected pharmacy.

  • Patent number: 10825099
Abstract: According to some embodiments, account information may be received in connection with a potential insurance policy. A premium indication portal processor may receive, from a risk score model application, an account score matrix for the potential insurance policy, including grade values comparing the account information with other insured policies in a risk database, along with a benchmark premium value calibrated to a target return on equity based on the account information and information in the risk database. The account score matrix may be displayed on an underwriter device, and guide indication adjustments may be received from the underwriter device for the potential insurance policy. The premium indication portal processor may then automatically calculate an adjusted premium value calibrated to the target return on equity based at least in part on the guide indication adjustments.

  • Publication number: 20200177482
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory machine readable media, and computing devices that manage data storage fabric health are disclosed. With this technology, a network model is applied to network data determined from monitored network traffic exchanged between storage nodes and via network connections over a cluster fabric to generate a health score for the cluster fabric. A cause of health degradation in the cluster fabric is determined based on an analysis of the network data, when the health score indicates that health of the cluster fabric is degrading. A corrective action is automatically initiated based on the cause of health degradation in the cluster fabric. With this technology, cluster fabrics in data storage networks are more effectively monitored for health degradation and, advantageously, corrective actions can be preemptively initiated to improve performance.
