  • Patent number: 11978251
Abstract: This invention relates to methods for determining adoption and impact of regenerative farming practices. Embodiments of these methods, take satellite imagery and weather data as inputs, process those data according to methods of the present invention, and produce outputs which indicate whether a specific farming practice (for example, no-till or cover cropping) was adopted for a particular field or region for a particular season.

  • Publication number: 20230359184
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a system and method capable of generating an operations management interface enabling monitoring of distributed components of a process control application. The operations management interface can include a customizable display enabling operators to prepare decisions based on a context-based three-dimensional representation of the distributed components. The operations management interface display includes controls for manipulating graphically displayed representations of data rendered by the distributed components, and an interface for exchanging requests and data through data links to one or more distributed data-linked components. Some selectable displayed information in the operations management interface window can include locations, interconnection layout and hierarchy, and specifications, and datasheets of distributed components.

  • Publication number: 20070028215
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for synchronizing software objects in one namespace with software objects in another namespace. When a change is detected in the first namespace (such as the addition, deletion, or movement of a software object), only as much information as is needed to characterize the change is sent to the second namespace. The second namespace then replicates the changed status of the first namespace. In one embodiment of the invention, an Archestra namespace is synchronized with an InSQL namespace by applying the public/private namespace capability of InSQL.

  • Publication number: 20070027913
Abstract: A database server for handling steams of time stamped data points for tagged variables is disclosed herein that supports a set of advanced data retrieval operations/queries invoked by clients of the database server. The advanced data retrieval operations are invoked by client queries to provide, on demand, secondary information by processing previously tabled data corresponding to received data streams rendered by a variety of data sources in a supervisory control/monitoring, process control and/or automated equipment environment. Calculations, on previously stored data, for rendering the secondary information are performed within the database server at the time the secondary information is requested by a client of the historian that maintains a database containing the previously stored data.

  • Patent number: 7057119
Abstract: A device and method for weighing eggs. The egg weighing apparatus includes a movable stem that supports an egg weighing platform. The stem is attached to a measuring device that is electronically and mechanically driven for precise measurement of an egg. The present invention uses a damper or alternatively, uses a tuned dynamic vibration absorber to yield precise measurement of an egg.

  • Publication number: 20060069946
Abstract: A redundant host pair runtime arrangement is disclosed for a process control network environment. The arrangement includes a primary network. A first partner of a fail-over host pair operates on a first machine communicatively connected to the primary network. The first partner hosts a set of executing application components in accordance with an active role assigned to the first partner. A second partner of the fail-over host pair operates on a second machine communicatively connected to the primary network. The second partner hosts a non-executing version of the set of executing application components in accordance with a standby runtime role. A monitoring process, operating separately upon the first machine, senses a failure of the first partner, and in response, initiates a notification to the second partner to take over the active role.

  • Publication number: 20060059478
Abstract: A system is disclosed for providing transparency between fail-over host partners for data acquisition clients of a redundancy-enabled host in a supervisory process control data acquisition application runtime environment. The system includes a name resolution table for mapping location-independent reference names to network location-specific addresses. A location-independent name is assigned to the redundancy-enabled host comprising an active host partner and a standby host partner. A messaging infrastructure serves clients of the redundancy-enabled host. The messaging infrastructure maintains a name to address translation for each reference of the client to subscribed data on the redundancy-enabled host such that a same name is used to reference data on the redundancy-enabled host without regard to which one of the redundancy-enabled host partners is presently active.

  • Publication number: 20060056285
Abstract: A redundant host pair runtime arrangement is disclosed for a process control network environment. The environment includes a primary network through which process control information is transmitted. An active partner of a fail-over host pair operates on a first machine communicatively connected to the primary network, and the active partner hosts a set of executing application components. A standby partner of the fail-over host pair operates on a second machine communicatively connected to the primary network. The standby partner receives updates including engine synchronization data associated with the set of executing application components to facilitate taking over an active partner role in response to a fail-over event. The environment also includes a redundancy message channel, separate and distinct from the primary network. The redundancy message channel provides a communications path between the first machine and second machine facilitating passing the updates including engine synchronization data.
