  • Patent number: 12239053
Abstract: A dynamic controllable system for moderating energy absorption at the earth's surface includes a series of panel units mounted above the earth's surface over land and water masses or on buildings. Each panel unit supports rotatable shafts, with panels joined to or integrally formed with the shafts. Each panel (forcing) has a radiation reflective surface and a radiation emissive surface opposite the radiation reflective surface. The panels are selectively rotated into a predetermined one cardinal positions: reflective, emissive and neutral, or into an intermediate position between cardinal positions. The programmable controller receives various data including top of atmosphere satellite data, air temperature and relative humidity at panel units, weather data, time of day, position of panel units, radiation insolation, and combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 11730091
Abstract: A dynamic controllable system 10 for moderating energy absorption at the earth's surface includes a series of panel units 110, 610 mounted above the earth's surface over land and water masses. Each panel unit 110, 610 supports rotatable shafts 112, 612, with panels 100, 600 joined to or integrally formed with the shafts 112, 612. Each panel (forcing) 100, 600 has a radiation reflective surface 102, 602 and a radiation emissive surface 104, 604 opposite the radiation reflective surface 102, 602. The panels 100, 602 are selectively rotated into a predetermined one of a plurality of cardinal positions: reflective, emissive and neutral, or into an intermediate position between two of the cardinal positions. The programmable controller 130 receives various data including top of atmosphere satellite data, air temperature and relative humidity at panel units, weather data, time of day, position of panel units, radiation insolation, and combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 10496793
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining eligibility in a prescription safety network program, such as a risk evaluation and mitigation strategies (REMS) program. Enrollment information can be received from a prescriber of medication, such as a doctor, to enroll in a prescription safety network program. The prescriber enrollment information can be stored in a first database and the prescriber can be provided the ability to enroll patients in the prescription safety network program in a second database that is separate and distinct from the first database. Patient enrollment data for the prescription safety network program can be received from the prescriber and stored in the second database. Further, pharmacy/pharmacist enrollment data for the prescription safety network program can be received from a pharmacy/pharmacist and stored in the second database.

  • Patent number: 10281318
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring thickness and/or basis weight of a web or film has a frame defining a measurement channel between two opposing frame faces. A first sensor component is on or appended to the first face and a second sensor component is on or appended to the second face of the frame. A series of rollers guide the web or film into the measurement channel in an overlapping relation such that at least two portions of said web reside in said measurement channel for detection by the sensor. The frame may be a C-frame gauge, and the sensor may be two capacitor plates. One sensor component is a source, while the opposing sensor component is sensitive to the source emission. The combined thickness of the portions of the web residing in the measurement channel is determined based upon the degree to which the web or film attenuates the emission.

  • Publication number: 20160296695
Abstract: A device for filling a medicament delivery device (e.g., a patch pump) with medicament or fluid and inserting a cannula subcutaneously enables improved results and user safety, while simplifying the set up process for a user. The device can include a housing with a first chamber portion having a first deployment mechanism and a second chamber portion having a second deployment mechanism. The device can also include a trigger mounted to the housing to activate at least one of the first deployment mechanism and the second deployment mechanism and an interface adapted to mate releasably with the medicament delivery device. The filling of the device with medicament and the insertion of the cannula may occur sequentially or simultaneously, and both actions can be initiated by a single user step or a limited number of user steps, as compared to conventional approaches.
