  • Patent number: 11911611
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for measuring an impedance of one or more target cells before and after an electroporation protocol has been applied to the one or more target cells. The result of the impedance measurement provides a feedback control that can be implemented during and/or after the electroporation protocol to customize the electrical treatment for a particular target cell or cellular tissue.

  • Patent number: 5934967
Abstract: An apparatus which transforms itself from one form to another. The apparatus comprises a body having a first rotatable leg and a second rotatable leg mounted thereon. When placed in motion, the apparatus is in its first form. First and second links are rotatably mounted in the first and second rotatable legs, respectively. The first and second links are pivotably joined at a pivot point. The apparatus has a weight disposed at the pivot point. Forces acting on the apparatus at different stages of travel cause forces to shift. This causes rotation of the first rotatable leg and said second rotatable leg. When this occurs, the apparatus is transformed into the second form. Also, a center of gravity shifting apparatus shifts the center of gravity of the apparatus from the front of the apparatus to the rear of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5509279
Abstract: A cooler backpack includes two or more separate storage compartments adjoining a central ice container. One of the compartments may be adapted to store cans or bottles of beverages in a plurality of recesses formed in one side of the ice container. Another of the compartments may be used for food storage and includes an insulated hard shell container having one or more shelves. The storage compartments and ice container fit within a durable insulated backpack. Apertures in the side of the backpack provide separate access to each of the storage compartments.

  • Patent number: 5496204
Abstract: An apparatus has one or more arms extending from a rotating hub, and players jump over the arms for enjoyment or exercise. Specialized sockets or other mechanisms connect the arms to the hub such that the arms can be placed in myriad different positions, and the arms can be moved out of the way when they strike a player. Rotation of the hub can be motorized, with a mechanism for automatically stopping the rotation when any of the arms is dislocated from its socket.

  • Patent number: 5439017
Abstract: A frame of flexible hoops sets up automatically through spring tension. The frame has a first hoop and a second hoop attached to the first hoop at equally spaced apart quadrant points. The hoops can flex and twist relative to each other at the quadrant points, but cannot translate away from each other. Tension members hold the erected frame into an oblong shape. Fabric or elastic panels can form the floor, roof and sides, of a tent. The frame may be collapsed to a compact size by folding it into a series of spiralling hoops, against the spring force of the frame.

  • Patent number: 5390246
Abstract: A portable multimedia marketing system is useful for playing back prerecorded audiovisual presentations. A portable carrying case holds the various components which include an audio and video playback device for playing the presentations. A presenter's monitor is used by the presenter to monitor the video portion of the presentation and a hand-held customer monitor is used by the person to whom the presentation is directed for viewing the video portion of the presentation. A pair of loudspeakers removably mounted within the carrying case provide the audio portion of the presentation. While the loudspeakers may be removed, from the carrying case, they are designed to remain in the case during use. Various umbilicals provide power, audio and video signals to or from the individual components.
