The interface includes an electronic detector to detect selected slot machine event occurrences and generate event occurrence notification signals upon detection of the selected events. The invention also includes an interface that detects the event occurrence notification signals, analyzes the signals and outputs a lottery entry command. Finally, a printer receives the lottery ticket printing commands and prints a lottery entry ticket.

Abstract: An improved gaming device with a secure interface has been developed. The invention includes an electronic gaming device with internal components, software and data, an external communication interface in communication with the electronic gaming device and an output device of the electronic gaming device in communication with the external communication interface. The output device communicates with external communication interface through a secure interface that does not allow external communications to directly access the internal components, software and data of the electronic gaming device.

Abstract: A method for generating supplemental slot machine output content has been developed. The method includes providing primary slot machine output content that has been tested by a gaming commission prior to offering the slot machine for public use. Additionally, the method includes providing slot machine output content that has not been tested by the gaming commission when providing the supplemental output content is approved by the gaming commission. This negates the requirement for the gaming commission to test the supplemental slot machine output content.
