Abstract: Methods and systems for generating a speaker feed for driving a sealed speaker, including: generating feedback indicative of excursion of the speaker; in response to the feedback, equalizing an input signal to generate the speaker feed, such that the speaker feed is equalized for driving the speaker with: a desired frequency response above the speaker's resonance frequency; and an at least substantially flat frequency response in a variable sub-resonance equalization band without exceeding the speaker's excursion limit, where the sub-resonance equalization band extends from the resonance frequency down to a variable cutoff frequency, and the cutoff frequency is determined in response to the feedback.

Abstract: The installation, maintenance and administration of digital cinema playback systems is facilitated by devices within the playback systems having operator-actuated controls that are used to specify a unique identifier for each playback system in a digital cinema complex. The identifier for a system is used to establish a set of network addresses for that playback system from which device addresses are assigned automatically. Subsequent communication between devices within a playback system use the assigned device addresses. These communications are used to alter the operation of devices, and for devices to publish the existence of and the need for specified services.

Abstract: In a digital cinema network of NTP-timekeeping devices in which one of the devices decodes video information, the scheduling of future instructions takes into account the differences between the nominal and actual frame rates of the video decoding device and the network's NTP latency.
