  • Patent number: 5659885
Abstract: A radio frequency switch includes a field-effect-transistor (FET) having a gate connected to a voltage multiplier. The control voltage for the switch is delivered to the voltage multiplier which delivers an increased gate voltage to turn the switch on. The voltage multiplier is driven by fluctuations of the control voltage as a transceiver, for example, is switched from the transmit to the receive mode.

  • Patent number: 5650743
Abstract: A common mode controlled signal multiplier includes a pair of interconnected differential amplifiers, each of which receives a common mode signal and an input signal and generates one phase of a differential output signal. In one of the differential amplifiers, the common mode signal is applied to the input terminal of each transistor, while the input signal is applied differentially to the input terminals of the transistors. In the other differential amplifier, an inverse phase of the common mode signal is applied to the input terminal of each transistor, while the input signal is applied differentially to the input terminals of the transistors. The differential amplifiers together generate the differential output signal, with such differential output signal having output frequencies including a sum of and a difference between the frequencies of the common mode signal and the input signal.

  • Patent number: 4662207
Abstract: This specification discloses a compact press tool which is capable of accommodating eccentric loadings without jamming or causing hydraulic fluid leakage.Specifically the press tool (1) comprises: a stationary element (2), a movable element (3) and an hydraulic ram (5) adapted to translate the movable element (3) relative to the stationary element (2). The hydraulic ram (5) has a first piston (7) fixedly connected with the stationary element (2), a second piston (9), axially spaced from the first piston (7), able to bear against the movable element (3), and a floating cylinder (10) sealed at one end by the first piston and at the other end by the second piston (9).

  • Patent number: 4563923
Abstract: An improved impact tool is disclosed for application of impact torque. The described tool comprises a shaft defining an axis for rotation of the tool. The impact tool includes a transversely extending striker bar mounted for rotation about the axis, one or more anvils connected to the shaft and mounted in the path of the striker bar, and a pair of spaced parallel plates connected to the shaft and between which the anvil or anvils are mounted. Preferably, the plates are circular and are mounted eccentrically with respect to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4020443
Abstract: A variable temperature sensor for detecting and/or controlling the temperature of an object is disclosed. The variable temperature sensor comprises a thermallly conductive probe having one end adapted to contact the object the temperature of which is to be sensed, measured and/or controlled and its other end adapted to contact a heat sink so as to create a predetermined temperature profile between the two ends of the thermally conductive probe, and a temperature sensing device having a predetermined temperature sensing point or range contacting the thermally conductive probe at a point which is substantially at the temperature sensing point or within the temperature sensing range of the sensing device.

  • Patent number: 3988981
Abstract: A manually operated press comprising a base, a movable platen opposed to the base and a frame attached to the base and carrying a movable platen includes a novel platen supporting and actuating structure which provides for adjustment of the pressure to be exerted by the press upon an object placed between the base and the platen and for adjustment to compensate for the thickness of the object to be placed between the platen and the base.
