Abstract: Disclosed are a tool and method for maintaining passwords. The tool comprises storage for a plurality of current passwords for a plurality of respective applications, and means for displaying a reminder to change one or more of said passwords. The tool further comprises a script for simulating keystroke entries, or running an executable program, to automatically perform a password change in said respective applications for said current passwords of said reminder. These applications may be, for example, workstation applications, legacy host applications, server applications, and networked applications.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for navigating a wellbore including running a string into the wellbore. The string includes an orientation measurement device and an operationally associated telemetry device wherein the string is configured to allow through passage of well equipment. The method includes gathering orientation data with the orientation measurement device and telemetering the data to a remote location. Further disclosed herein is a method for running, setting and cementing a well structure including running the well structure into a borehole on a string including an orientation measurement device configured to allow through passage of well equipment and a telemetry device in operable communication with the orientation measurement device. The method includes gathering data on orientation, telemetering the data to a remote location and setting the well structure.

Abstract: A self orienting liner hanger system including a bent sub, an indexing sub in operable communication with the bent sub, a hanger assembly in operable communication with the indexing sub, and a profile connected with the hanger assembly. Yet further disclosed herein is a method for constructing a junction between a primary borehole and a lateral borehole. The method includes installing a window sleeve at the junction, running a liner hanger into the sleeve, cycling an indexing sub of the hanger until a bent sub of the hanger exits the window, and running the hanger into engagement with the sleeve.

Abstract: Concepts for fabricating improved cores for investment casting are described. The cores are composite which include refractory metal elements and ceramic elements. The refractory metal elements are provided to enhance the mechanical properties of the core and/or to permit the fabrication of cores having shapes and geometries that could not otherwise be achieved. In one embodiment, the entire core may be made of refractory metal components. The cores may be used to investment cast gas turbine superalloy components.

Abstract: A nuclear camera is provided with an open and flexible software architecture which enables users to readily understand, modify, and exchange data files. In a constructed embodiment the software architecture utilizes xml files which can be defined and read by a user using readily available tools and viewers. Both control data and image data can be formatted in this manner. An illustrated software architecture contains a directory of manufacturer-supplied xml control files, and a directory of user modified or created xml control files. This software architecture enables users to exchange protocol and image information over conventional communications networks such as the Internet.

Abstract: A gamma camera system is described in which multiple simultaneous acquisitions are performed based upon different characteristics for event data acquired by a common gantry behavior. The event data from a detector is selected for different images based upon characteristics such as gating, ungated, energy windows, or zooming.

Abstract: A system for the automated storing or dispensing of one or more stacks of stackable goods is provided. The system comprises at least one pick-up site at which one or more stacks of stackable goods may be stationed, and at least one delivery site at which one or more stacks of stackable goods may be stationed. The system also includes a robotic pick-up means for securing and releasing one of the stackable goods, and movement means for moving the pick-up means into position to retrieve or deposit one of the stackable goods at a desired pick-up or delivery site. A control system is provided which can activate the pick-up means and the movement means, and is programmed to be operable to systematically move the stacks of stackable goods between the one or more pick-up sites and the one or more delivery sites.

A closure seals the container from leakage and prevents internal contamination between compartments. The container may be blow molded in a single manufacturing step.

Abstract: A security system for a computer (10) having at least one communications port (12) for connection to peripheral devices, includes a card reader (14). A switching means (22) connected to the card reader and connectible to the communications port, is operable to connect the card reader to the communications port in response to a command including protected routines which generate said command to cause the switching means to connect the card reader to the communications port. Suitable software compares data from a card read by the card reader with authorisation data held in the computer, to enable or disable further operation of the protected routine(s).

Abstract: A semi-rigid mask spatially contoured and sized to overlie and be generally conformable to a vehicular window while lying in the closely spaced peripheral relation to vehicular trim bordering the window. The mask is provided with a pair of spaced suction cup structures operable by external handles to engage and release the window. The mask is peripherally thickened to reinforce shape retentivity by the mask and to provide an elevated surface for the application of masking tape to the mask and the ornamental boundary trim.
