  • Publication number: 20110099587
Abstract: In a communications network, a network access point address is determined that is currently associated with at least one of a plurality of subscriber mobile devices associated with a subscription to an information service. Content associated with the information service is formatted to provide subscriber content that is configured to be used by the plurality of subscriber mobile devices. The subscriber content is broadcast from a transmitter at the determined network access point address to the at least one subscriber mobile device over a wireless network.

  • Patent number: 7711366
Abstract: Tools and techniques for providing seamless enterprise and consumer mobility are described. More particularly, the tools manage network connections between a communications device and two or more networks. A first network has a first type, and a second network has a second type different type than the first network. When the communications device is proximate the first network, a first device detection signal is generated. Also, a first presence signal is associated with the first network, and varies in response to a condition of a connection between the communications device and the first network. The first presence signal indicates whether the condition of the connection permits an ongoing communication to use the first network. When the condition of the connection does not permit the ongoing communication to continue using the first network, the communication is handed over to the second network.

  • Publication number: 20090113489
Abstract: In a communications network, a network access point address is determined that is currently associated with at least one of a plurality of subscriber mobile devices associated with a subscription to an information service. Content associated with the information service is formatted to provide subscriber content that is configured to be used by the plurality of subscriber mobile devices, but is configured to prevent at least some use thereof by devices that are not associated with the subscription to the information service. The subscriber content is broadcast from a transmitter at the determined network access point address to the at least one subscriber mobile device over a wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20080195938
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for the alteration and insertion of media components within a media framework. According to implementations, a media framework is received and insertion parameters are defined for inserting a media component into the media framework. The media component to be inserted is identified and inserted into the media framework according to the insertion parameters. The insertion parameters may be retrieved from the media framework, determined using an image recognition engine, or determined from visual indicators received from the media framework. The media component to be inserted may be selected according to an identified target audience. Authorization may be required for inserting the media component according to a hierarchy of media framework distributors.

  • Publication number: 20080195457
Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media are provided for providing targeted advertising to subscriber devices based on the location of the subscriber device and a set of advertiser-defined and subscriber-defined criteria. In one embodiment, the method includes retrieving location information that identifies the location of the subscriber device. Advertising is matched and transmitted to the subscriber device according to the location of the device. Matching advertising to the subscriber device is based on a set of advertiser-defined matching criteria that matches both the location of the subscriber device and a set of subscriber characteristics stored in a subscriber profile. A subscriber may define a set of parameters within the subscriber profile that further filters the set of matched advertisements.
