Abstract: A method of planning for an education with the assistance of a single source includes a user communicating with the single source for planning for multiple financial needs for an education, determining various insurance protection plans which are provided by the single source, selecting financing options for the education which are provided by the single source, obtaining spending tools which are provided by the single source, and procuring communications tools which are provided by the single source.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of suggesting replacement words for words of a string. In the method, an input string of input words is received. The input words are then matched to subject words of a candidate table. Next, candidate replacement words and scores from the candidate table corresponding to the matched subject words are extracted. Each score is indicative of a probability that the input word should be replaced with the corresponding candidate replacement word. Finally, replacement of the input words with their corresponding candidate replacement words is selectively suggested based on the scores for the replacement words. Another aspect of the present invention is directed to a spell checking system that is configured to implement the method.

Abstract: A lexicon stored on a computer readable medium and used by language processing systems. The lexicon can store word information in a plurality of data fields associated with each entered word. The data fields can include information on spelling and grammar, parts of speech, steps that the entered word can be transformed into another word, a word description, and a segmentation for a compound word. Information that cannot be stored in the lexicon can be stored in an intermediate indexes table. Associated methods of constructing, updating and using the lexicon are introduced.
