  • Publication number: 20240157163
Abstract: A PEMF web using immersive, flux-guided, micro-coils to direct intense, deeply penetrating, magnetic flux into a subject from each micro-coil capable of pointing in an arbitrary direction. Micro-coils are spooled around iron cores, insulated properly, and soldered to connecting wires, all embedded in a polymeric resin, such as cold-cured silicone resin. Nodes protect, enclose, insulate electrically, and otherwise protect the micro-coils. Connectors between nodes provide mechanical stability against breaking of wires, while permitting folding, bending, buckling, and otherwise deflecting to position the nodes as desired with three degrees of freedom.

  • Publication number: 20200382646
Abstract: A software application on a device controls a notification state of a peripheral device having a microphone, speaker and at least one button. The notification state includes one or more button press expression definitions and corresponding functions executable by the computing device. In response to receiving a sequence of button presses that satisfy a button press expression definition, the peripheral device sends a notification response causing the computing device to perform the corresponding action. The corresponding action may activate a voice assistant and make the voice assistant accessible through the peripheral device, which has fewer compute resources than are required to operate a voice assistance. In another example, the button press expression definitions can be used to control the mode in which a user enters a communication session, mute on, audio only, etc.

  • Publication number: 20200296219
Abstract: A speakerphone and a computing device executing a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) communication application that provides communication session connectivity coupled via a direct communication channel provided by a wireless or wireline interconnection. The speakerphone and the VoIP communication application are configured with a messaging technology. The messaging technology allows the speakerphone and the VoIP communication application to exchange data, such as function data and information data.

  • Patent number: 4999911
Abstract: A method and apparatus for remanufacturing a valve seat includes providing a valve having an oversize valve head (52) and an oversize valve stem (80). The oversize valve head has a seating surface (60) which rides higher in the valve seat (34) after resurfacing thereof. The seating surface (60) on the valve head (58) therefore rides higher on the new seating surface (66) in the valve seat (34). The oversize valve stem (80) accommodates a bored out valve guide (78) to allow a single size valve stem to be utilized. A keeper grove (84) is disposed on the upper end of the oversize valve stem (80) and dimensioned such that it is disposed a predetermined distance below the original dimension of a standard valve. This allows a predetermined amount of compression to be placed onto the valve spring (28) to account for fatigue therein.

  • Patent number: 4991741
Abstract: A pail filling mechanism comprising a housing having an open top and pail supports to retain a vertical column of nested pails, and a pull-down carriage positioned within the housing and moved vertically by a power cylinder between a raised and lowered position. At the raised position, a pair of pivotally mounted toggles disposed on opposing sides of the lowermost pail engage above the rim of the lowermost pail, and the downward motion of the pull-down carriage distorts the lowermost pail slightly and strips or separates the pail from the column. The pull-down carriage moves to the lowered position, delivering the pail to a pail slide. As the pull-down carriage is again raised, a pail ejector assembly pushes the separated pail forward out of the front of the housing and into the pail infeed station of an automated filling and sealing machine.

  • Patent number: 4020461
Abstract: A system for transmitting digital information such as audio or video over a lossy or dispersive medium. The digital information is of the type where certain bits are more important than others and hence the less important bits can suffer a greater bit error rate. Accordingly, the most important bits are encoded into a (7,k) 8-ary Reed Solomon code where 7 is the length of the code and k is the dimension of the code. The less important bits are then respectively encoded into a (7,k+1) or a (7,k+2) 8-ary Reed Solomon code. The code words are modulated onto a plurality of tones or subcarriers. The decoding is effected by initially demodulating the subcarriers and generating a candidate set of code words from each 7-tuple of demodulated 8-ary symbols corresponding to a transmitted code word.
