  • Publication number: 20150037762
Abstract: A computer in a vehicle is configured to receive one or more data collector inputs, detect an object proximate to the vehicle based on the one or more inputs, determine a closure speed between the object and the vehicle, determine a change in speed of the object, compute an accountability factor; and determine whether to identify a potential incident based at least in part on the accountability factor and an incident value. The incident value is a function of at least one of the closure speed and a distance between the vehicle and the object. The accountability factor is based at least in part on the closure speed and the change in speed of the object.

  • Patent number: 7813865
Abstract: The invention comprises a control method for a hybrid electric vehicle powertrain having a throttle-controlled engine and an electric motor, a battery and a generator. Compensation is made for differences between driver commanded torque and actual engine torque due to engine throttle contamination using a closed-loop control strategy that creates a throttle setting correction.

  • Publication number: 20030088565
Abstract: Methods and systems for mining large data sets using block model averaging techniques are provided. Example embodiments provide a Block Model Averaging System (“BMAS”), which enables users to build/train, test, deploy, and maintain predictive statistical models that can be used to gain knowledge from both static and dynamic data. In one embodiment, the BMAS incrementally builds predictive models from portions (blocks) of input data using block model averaging techniques, determines a voting population of the predictive models to use as components of an ensemble model, generates an ensemble model with these determined components, and deploys the generated ensemble model to input data to derive answers. One technique for determining the voting population is correctness; another is diversity of response.
