  • Publication number: 20240159323
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustable mechanical valve assembly used to control fluid flow in a pipe system that compresses air bubbles in the fluid to allow a more dense volume of fluid to exit the control valve. The valve assembly comprises a housing, a valve member, a spring member, and a retaining member. The spring member is configured to limit radial movement while allowing axial movement, thereby eliminating the need for a separate element (such as a rod) to limit radial movement.

  • Patent number: 11959393
Abstract: An airfoil assembly for a turbine engine comprising an outer band, an inner band radially spaced inwardly from the outer band to define an annular region, and multiple airfoils circumferentially spaced within the annular region. Each corresponding airfoil of the multiple airfoils can project from a surface at a root and can further include an outer wall defining a pressure side and a suction side. A projection can extend upwardly from the surface on the pressure side and a valley can extend into the surface on the suction side to define a contour in the surface.

  • Patent number: 11944105
Abstract: The technology as disclosed herein includes a method and apparatus for deboning a meat item, and more particular for deboning a poultry item including performing an initial shoulder cut for removing boneless breast meat from the poultry carcass or frame. The technology as disclosed and claimed further includes a method and apparatus for removing a tender meat portion from a poultry item. The method and apparatus disclosed and claimed herein is a combination of a robotic arm including an ultrasonic knife implement and/or an annular blade knife implement and a vision system for varying the cut path based on the shape and size of the poultry item. The combination as claimed including the ultrasonic knife can perform a meat cut while penetrating the meat with less force than the typical penetration that occurs when using a traditional knife. The combination as claimed including the annular blade knife implement can remove the tender meat portion for the keel bone and posterior sheath.

  • Publication number: 20240093892
Abstract: A refrigerant leak detection (RLD) and/or mitigation/containment (RLM/RLC) system/method for use in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that incorporates a plurality of temperature and/or humidity sensors (THS), alarm status indicator (ASI), and digital control processor (DCP) is disclosed. The THS are positioned within the HVAC system (condenser coils (HCC), evaporator coils (HEC), air intake fans (AIF), air supply plenums (ASP), air return plenums (ARP), and/or temperature controlled environment (TCE)) and reports THS temperature readings to the DCP via a common temperature sensor bus (TSB) and/or a wireless temperature interface (WTI). The DCP interprets THS temperature readings in a closed control loop (CCL) to dynamically determine if a refrigerant leak has occurred within the HVAC system. If a leak is detected, the DCP activates the ASI and optionally one or more refrigerant control valves (RCV) is closed to limit refrigerant leakage in the HVAC system.

  • Publication number: 20230259505
Abstract: Techniques for managing requests to modify a data set at future times are disclosed. The system receives a request to modify the data set at a future time, such as in a future time window. The system generates a representation of the data set at the future time. The system determines the future state of the data set based on the current state of the data set and requested future modifications to the data set. The system determines whether a conflict exists between the request to modify the data set at the future time and another scheduled request to modify the data set at the future time. Based on determining whether a conflict exists, the system performs one or more of scheduling the request to modify the data set at the future time and performing a remediation action to address the conflict.

  • Publication number: 20230237034
Abstract: Techniques for modifying hierarchal-structured data of one hierarchal data structure based on a modification to another hierarchal data structure are disclosed. A system determines that a modification has been made, or is requested to be made, to a particular hierarchal data structure. The system analyzes a set of rules to determine whether the modification of the hierarchal data structure triggers another modification to an additional hierarchal data structure. The additional hierarchal data structure includes different nodes, or nodes arranged in a different hierarchal structure, than the particular hierarchal data structure. The system modifies the additional hierarchal data structure based on the rule. The modification of the additional hierarchal data structure is different than the modification to the particular hierarchal data structure.

  • Patent number: 11578717
Abstract: A tappet, which may be a fuel pump actuator, includes a body that is a contiguous piece of case-hardened ferrous metal. The body has a cylinder-conforming bore-running surface and an anti-rotation guide feature that has been made by stamping to project outwardly from the bore-running surface. A cam follower is mounted to the body. The body has been case hardened by ferritic nitrocarburizing, but has not been distorted by heat treatment and has a malleable interior. A transverse web for the tappet may be fully hardened. Axle holes for the cam follower may be formed by stamping. The tappet is durable and provides superior alignment of the roller to a cam, which reduces friction and noise.
