Abstract: Light projection systems using white light illumination. One embodiment provides a projection system using white light illumination. The projection system includes an illumination assembly configured to receive a white light input. A prism is configured to separate the white light input into color light inputs, redirect the color light inputs to respective modulators, and combine modulated color light inputs from the respective modulators into a white light output. An optical filter is configured to spatially Fourier transform the white light output to generate a filtered white light output. A projection lens assembly is configured to project the filtered white light output.

  • Patent number: 9955047
Abstract: Method and device for acquiring stream of the precisely time-stamped images, including the modulated light source, controlled by the absolute global real-time-base (e.g. provided by global navigation satellite system (GNSS) controller) and the image acquisition and processing unit, decoding the light modulation waveform and determining the time-stamp for every image frame. The GNSS time and position messages can be used to provide the full time- and location stamps for each frame. Multi-element light sources can be used to have more informative light modulation in the time domain. For time-stamping of several image streams (e.g. from several cameras) multiple light sources with the same modulation can be used.

  • Publication number: 20170024258
Abstract: A computer system for optimizing dependencies of batch jobs includes a scheduling server and a computer terminal. The scheduling server schedules an execution order of batch jobs on at least one batch server. The computer terminal receives a user input and queries the scheduling server for precedent batch jobs of a target batch job. The viewing application receives a query result from the scheduling server and depicts, on an electronic display, a dependency tree that includes one or more precedent batch jobs and the target batch job. The viewing application further depicts a critical path that includes critical precedent batch jobs that process data required by the target batch job. The viewing application provides for optimizations that optimize the execution order of the batch jobs such that the target batch job finishes executing earlier than the target batch job would have finished executing without the one or more optimizations.

  • Publication number: 20130302027
Abstract: The present application is directed to the measurement of the intensity and phase of high speed optical signals. The present application uses a tunable optical local oscillator, an optical coupler, a photodiode and RF electronics. The tunable laser enables successive measurements to be taken across the optical spectrum allowing the system to measure extremely high bandwidth signals. The signal generated by the local oscillator comprises a component at a frequency between two adjacent modes of the periodic optical signal to be measured. The local oscillator and said periodic signal are optically mixed and sent to a photodiode, the measurement of the phase being based on isolating the resulting beat frequencies. This approach offers a significant improvement over existing time resolved approaches which are limited to the bandwidth of the photodiode (˜50 GHz).

  • Patent number: 8530247
Abstract: A method for semiconductor processing is provided, wherein a semiconductor wafer having undergone polishing is provided. The semiconductor wafer has an active region positioned between one or more moat regions, wherein the one or more moat regions have an oxide disposed therein. A top surface of the active region is recessed from a top surface of the moat region, therein defining a step having a step height associated therewith. A step height is measured, and a photoresist is formed over the semiconductor wafer. A modeled step height is further determined, wherein the modeled step height is based on the measured step height and a desired critical dimension of the photoresist. A dosage of energy is determined for patterning the photoresist, wherein the determination of the dosage of energy is based, at least in part, on the modeled step height. The photoresist is then patterned using the determined dosage of energy.

  • Publication number: 20130035578
Abstract: The current invention discloses a portable brain-activity monitor for recording a subject's EEG while he/she is listening to music. The brain-activity monitor includes an earphone connected to a portable audio player as well as an EEG sensor. The EEG sensor is connected to EEG electrodes that are shaped and sized to fit within the auditory canal. Suitable electronic processing circuitry, located in close proximity to the electrode, amplify the EEG signals in a range of 0.5 Hz to 100 Hz, perform an analogue-to-digital conversion, filter the output and deliver it to a recording device. A cable connected to the subjects earlobe provides the ground for the EEG sensor. The monitor is preferably Bluetooth enabled to allow it to connect to computing devices such as PCs and smart phones.

  • Publication number: 20120074181
Abstract: A hat hanging device with a central vertically elongate member, a left and a right hat hanger support member, a plurality of hat retaining assemblies, a hanger bar attachment member and a hanger bar attachment retaining clip. The hanger bar attachment member connects to the central member and is held in place by the retaining clip. The hanger support members are each attached to the right and left side of the central elongate member. The hanger support members slope downward from the central elongate member at approximately a thirty degree angle. The hat retaining assemblies each include a post topped by a spherical member. A hat bill retaining spring clip is attached to the bottom of each post. The spherical members are rotatably retained by apertures located in the side wall of the hanger support members.

  • Patent number: 7845963
Abstract: A mechanism of low cost and easy mounting, provides resistance to rotation of a coupling nut (14) of an electrical connector about the barrel (12) of the connector, and provides a higher resistance to rotation in one direction (U) than the opposite direction (M). A toothed ring (44) with a circle of teeth, is fixed to the barrel. The mechanism includes a washer (42) with projections (70, 72) that engage the teeth of the ring to ride over them during nut rotation, and thereby provide resistance to nut rotation. The washer is bent to form a spring to bias its projections against the teeth of the toothed ring. The washer also has ears (75, 76) that fit into slots in the nut to prevent washer rotation relative to the nut. The teeth of the toothed ring have first sides that are steeper than its second sides to provide higher resistance to rotation in one direction.

  • Patent number: 7833651
Abstract: A battery holder frame (12) that facilitates the removal of a fully installed battery (30) (electrical cell). The frame has top (20), bottom (22), opposite side (24, 26), and back walls (28) that form a cavity (14) that receives a battery by moving the battery rearward into the cavity until the battery abuts the back wall. The back wall upper portion has a bottom edge (66) and leaves an opening (62) below the bottom edge through which the bottom of the battery can move rearward out of the cavity. To remove a fully installed battery, the battery bottom is pushed rearward to cause the battery to pivot so its upper portion (152) moves forward out of the cavity and can be grasped to pull the battery out of the cavity.
