  • Publication number: 20240132042
Abstract: A method of controlling an electromechanical brake system. The method comprises measuring a voltage of a motor, measuring a current of the motor, and estimating a position of a component of the electromechanical brake system based on the voltage and the current. The method comprises estimating a force imposed by the component based on the voltage and the current, and estimating a hydraulic pressure associated with a hydraulic brake system. In an apply operation, the force of the component is corrected based on the hydraulic pressure. In a release operation, the position of the component is corrected based on the hydraulic pressure.

  • Publication number: 20220289164
Abstract: A method of determining the cumulative damage of a brake system, the method comprising: (a) estimating or measuring one or more brake forces based upon one or more parameters; (b) determining a cycle for each of the brake forces and associating each brake force with the determined cycle; and (c) determining a cumulative damage of the brake system based upon the determined cycles and the associated brake forces.

  • Publication number: 20110136428
Abstract: An enhanced communication device comprises a terrestrial wireless communication device and a satellite modem. The terrestrial wireless communication device may be used when terrestrial communications are permitted. Otherwise, messages may be generated at the terrestrial wireless communication device and transmitted to the satellite modem (such as through a wireless communications interface). The satellite modem may send the message via a satellite communication network or system. The satellite modem may also receive messages and provide them to the terrestrial wireless communication device for display.
