  • Patent number: 10260931
Abstract: A dynamic yield monitor system includes a plurality of instruments to measure harvested crop characteristics while a crop is in-flow within a harvester elevator. The system includes a volume instrument that measures a harvested crop volume from the in-flow harvested crop within the harvester elevator, and a weight instrument that measures a harvested crop weight from the in-flow harvested crop within the harvester elevator. Optionally, the system includes other instruments including a moisture and temperature instrument. A receiver and processing node communicates with the instrument. The receiver and processing determines variable harvested crop test weight based on at least the measured harvested crop volume and measured harvested crop weight of the in-flow crop. The receiver and processing node further determines a variable yield of the harvested crop based on the measured harvested crop volume, the measured harvested crop weight, and the variable harvested crop test weight.

  • Patent number: 9372109
Abstract: A system for measuring crop weight in a harvester elevator includes a receiver and processing node and one or more weight sensing instruments coupled to one or more paddles of the harvested elevator, respectively. The weight sensing instruments each include a weight sensor and a transmitter in communication with a receiver and processing node. The weight sensor is configured to dynamically measure the weight of a static harvested crop, relative to the sensor and corresponding paddle, as it ascends in the harvester elevator.

  • Patent number: 9310329
Abstract: A system for measuring crop moisture content in a harvester elevator includes a receiver and processing node and one or more moisture sensing instruments coupled to one or more paddles of the harvested elevator, respectively. The moisture sensing instruments each include a moisture sensor and a transmitter in communication with a receiver and processing node. The moisture sensor is configured to dynamically measure the moisture content of a static harvested crop, relative to the sensor and corresponding paddle, at ascends in the harvester elevator.

  • Publication number: 20140277959
Abstract: A method of automatically planting two or more seed types with an agricultural planter includes monitoring a planter location on a prescription map of an agricultural field. The planter includes one or more remotely adjustable planting characteristics. A seed type is selected based on the monitored planter location on the prescription map, the seed type including two or more seed types. The selected seed type is dispensed to one or more seed metering systems of one or more row units based on the selected seed type. As the planter moves in the agricultural one or more of the remotely adjustable planting characteristics of the planter field is dynamically changed based on at least the seed type selected according to the monitored planter location.

  • Publication number: 20080289842
Abstract: Disclosed is a vibration dampening handle for power tools. It includes a frame member attached to the power tool itself, and a handle assembly, which is attached to the frame member via connection to resilient material attached to an isolator chassis assembly located at a vibration node point of the frame member. The vibration dampening handle may also include a height adjustment mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6116172
Abstract: A shank-mounted opener assembly connected to a seed distribution system is provided for both till and no-till operations. The opener assembly includes a spike member that is supported on the shank, a firming point, a seed sensor connected to the seed supply, a seed boot, a seed locking mechanism, and a multi media delivery tube assembly. The seed boot encloses the seed sensor and includes a pair of lateral side walls. The seed boot protects the seed sensor from moving soil and debris. The seed locking mechanism pushes the seed into the soil and forms a shallow layer of soil over the seed dispensed through the seed sensor. If desired, assistive media can be dispensed into the furrow at the same time as seeding. The assistive media are dispensed through the multi-media delivery tube assembly. The assistive media are not dispensed to the furrow until after the seed locking mechanism covers the seed with a shallow layer of soil.
