Publication number: 20140378026Abstract: A toy recycling truck that shapes and extrudes formable material is described. A formable material is fed into a first opening, or door, on the top of the truck and is extruded out of a second opening at the back of the truck. The formable material is fed into a molding extruder having a molding device and an expeller. The molding device includes a first cylindrical roller and a second cylindrical roller with inset molds that are adjacent and that turn toward each other so that the formable material fills the molds with pushed into the molding device. A three dimensional figure is released from the molds and synchronized to be extruded by an expeller. The expeller includes a paddle wheel with one or more paddles that extrudes the three dimensional shape molded from the formable material.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2013Publication date: December 25, 2014Inventors: Mark Foster, Michael DiPalma, Douglas A. Patent number: 6805609Abstract: A toy car comprises a base, a plurality of wheels arranged to support the base for rolling movement over a surface, a spring-powered drive train carried by the base and operatively coupled to at least one of the wheels and having at least one rotatable drive gear, a post shiftably mounted to the base and moveable between a first position and a second position and including a camming surface, and a pawl carried by the base and including a camming surface. The camming surface of the post and the camming surface of the pawl are arranged to shift the pawl into engagement with the teeth of the drive gear in response to movement of the post to the first position, and the pawl is arranged to shift away from the drive gear in response to movement of the post to the second position.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2003Date of Patent: October 19, 2004Assignee: Hasbro, Inc.Inventors: William M. Paukert, Douglas A. Schultheis

Patent number: 6783419Abstract: A playset for use with a wheeled toy vehicle includes a flexible first track section defining a first part of a path for the toy vehicle, a rigid and looped second track section defining a second part of the path, and a cavity formed in the second track section sized to permit the first track section to be shifted between an extended position and a retracted position. The first part of the path and the second part of the path are aligned when the first track section is in the extended position, and at least a major portion of the first track section is disposed within the cavity of the second track section when the first track section is in the retracted position.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2003Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Hasbro, Inc.Inventors: William M. Paukert, Douglas A. Schultheis

Patent number: 5947133Abstract: A dental flossing device is characterized by a flossing circuit comprising a floss supply spool and a take-up spool mounted to a housing containing a gear train assembly adapted to rotate the take-up spool in a winding direction. The floss feeds from the supply spool along a pair of prongs forming a forked extension of the handle and is stretched across the forked prongs and appropriately tensioned to be inserted into a user's mouth for flossing. To maintain hygiene, the take-up spool is mounted outside the housing. In a manually operated embodiment, a manually depressible trigger projecting from the housing is operable to rotate the take-up spool with reverse rotation thereof being prevented with a ratchet mechanism. Release of the manually depressible trigger reversely rotates the supply spool through a short arcuate interval to remove slack and then locks the supply spool against unwinding rotation through gear teeth.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1997Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Assignee: Michael KossakInventors: Michael Kossak, Richard Daley, Ted Lubin, Douglas Schultheis, Paul Kotowski, Bernard A. Fitzmorris
