The method may be used, for example, to track student progress from secondary to postsecondary institutions and generate statistics about aggregate college enrollment rates to inform policy decisions. In exemplary embodiments, the matching algorithm accounts for common variations in student names and geographical distances between secondary institutions and the student's current known address to generate higher confidence matches.
