Publication number: 20190340626Abstract: Compliance systems and methods are described for analyzing anomalous conduct in a geographically distributed platform. In various aspects, a monitoring application (app) periodically tracks a plurality of household profiles that are geographically distributed. The monitoring app determines a household cohort matrix based on the plurality of household profiles. Each of the plurality of household profiles is associated a cohort of the household cohort matrix. The monitoring app also generates one or more cohort anomaly measures for each of the cohorts, and further generates corresponding household anomaly measures of a particular household profile selected from the plurality of household profiles. The monitoring app partitions the particular household profile as an outlier household profile if the outlier household profile includes an outlier household anomaly measure. A dashboard app updates a compliance report based on the outlier household profile.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2018Publication date: November 7, 2019Inventors: James Michael Benum, Kieran Gerrit Bol, John Anthony Vervoort, Ryan Vanderhoek, Douglas Trott, Imran Mansoor Saleh

Patent number: 8099346Abstract: A method of computer-assisted price modeling is provided, which uses a reference price to assist in evaluating discretionary pricing of transactional services provided (i) by a professional among his own transactions or (ii) by a target professional among others' transactions. A universe of pricing episode data is segmented into groupings based on price predictive parameters. These data are then arranged in each grouping according to price. A reference price is determined within each grouping based on a predetermined level, rank or percentile. This reference price can then be used to evaluate the pricing episode data and provide various calculations or comparisons, including the revenue opportunity that could have been obtained by pricing at the reference price.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2009Date of Patent: January 17, 2012Assignee: Pricemetrix, Inc.Inventors: Douglas Trott, Jeffrey Marsden, Patrick Kennedy, Christopher May

Patent number: 8065216Abstract: The invention provides a method of displaying an evaluation tool for evaluating a proposed commission on behalf of a professional at the time of carrying out a transaction. Using a principal and share/unit price for the proposed transaction, the method identifies nearest neighbour historical transactions. A graph is displayed showing the professional's proposed commission in relation to these nearest neighbour historical transactions. The professional can modify the proposed commission in light of the historical data before executing the transaction and charging the commission.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2009Date of Patent: November 22, 2011Assignee: Pricemetrix Inc.Inventors: Douglas Trott, Lisa Bean, Cory Weech, Jamie Loughery, Jeffrey Marsden, Patrick Kennedy, Milen Kovachev

Patent number: 7028006Abstract: A securities transaction performance framework for developing an evaluation system directed toward the securities industry. The framework comprises a compilation of Broker demographics, a compilation of Broker performance data, a compilation of Client Portfolio information, and a compilation of periodic Transaction data including volume of Transactions, commission charged, and associated Broker information. The data compilations interface with a Broker Master to correlate a Broker to a statistical database as requested by the user. The Broker Master correlates financial statistics from Transaction data to Broker demographics and performance data so as to provide a performance evaluation system. Transaction data is stored in a secure environment and is able to provide historical analysis upon request of the end user.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2000Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: PriceMetrix, Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey Marsden, Patrick Kennedy, Douglas Trott

Patent number: 6957703Abstract: A subsurface safety valve has a closure sleeve or rod mounted below the closure mechanism. Control signal pushes the sleeve up (uphole) or down (downhole), whichever is applicable, which causes the closure element to rotate (or slide, or otherwise translate) to its open position. A loss of control signal allows the closure spring to push the sleeve or rod downhole (or uphole, whichever is appropriate). This movement causes the closure element to be driven to its closed position against the seat.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2002Date of Patent: October 25, 2005Assignee: Baker Hughes IncorporatedInventors: Douglas Trott, Brian Shaw, David McMahon
