  • Patent number: 11704615
Abstract: In one aspect, a device agnostic system for providing a fully connected worker risk assessment is disclosed. The system includes an interface and data model for capturing and interpreting one or more variables associated with a worker's body motion and non-body motion related data. The system further includes a processor for aggregating, assessing, and interpreting the one or more input variables to perform a fully connected worker risk assessment based on not only the worker's movement, but also non-movement related data. The processor further provides an output based on the processed one or more input variables to provide a fully connected risk assessment and solutions relating to the same.

  • Publication number: 20100271368
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for systems and methods for applying a 3D scan of a physical target object to a virtual environment. Embodiments described herein focus particularly on examples where a 3D scan of a person's head (or part thereof) are to be applied to a virtual body in the virtual environment. In some implementations, this is used to provide realistic faces and facial expressions to virtual characters in a video game environment. In overview, some embodiments make use of a hybrid approach including surface analysis for the generation of a 3D scan, and relatively traditional motion capture (mocap) technology for providing spatial context for association with the 3D scan.

  • Publication number: 20100138745
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for managing the production of video-based animation, described particularly by reference to the example of free-viewpoint video-based animation. In overview, hardware, software, facilities and protocols described herein allow known and subsequently developed video-based animation techniques to be implemented in commercial environments in an improved manner, particularly as compared with the manner in which such techniques are implemented in a research and development environment.

  • Patent number: 5322719
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for manufacturing products such as laminates or thermal moldings. The apparatus includes a first member, a flexible sheet, and a cord and channel arrangement to mount the flexible sheet to the first member to form an enclosed chamber. Valve structure is provided in airflow communication with the enclosed chamber. The apparatus may be used as a vacuum frame apparatus wherein the enclosed chamber receives product for exposure to a vacuum environment. Heat may be applied to facilitate manufacturing. External force may be provided to the product through external mechanical structure or an external pressure greater than atmospheric pressure external of the enclosed chamber. In another embodiment, the apparatus may be used as a membrane press wherein the product is outside the enclosed chamber and the enclosed chamber is pressurized to a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure such that the flexible sheet, sometimes heated, is pressed against the product.
