    Abstract: In a tissue irrigating solution of the type containing the combination of glutathione, bicarbonate, and Ringer solution (GBR), the chloride salts (Ringer solution) are packaged and stored in solution and the bicarbonate and glutathione are freeze-dried and packaged and separately stored in powder form until immediately preceeding the operation, at which time the bicarbonate and glutathione are dissolved directly into the solution of chloride salts. The resulting solution is mixed within 24 hours of use.
