  • Publication number: 20240068889
Abstract: A pressure/force sensor comprises a diaphragm structure including a sensing element and a lead structure extending from the diaphragm structure and including first and second traces electrically coupled to the sensing element. The diaphragm structure and the lead structure include a circuit assembly comprising a common insulating layer and a common conductor layer on the insulating layer. The conductor layer includes at least a portion of the sensing element and at least the first trace.

  • Patent number: 8110134
Abstract: Lightweight trays are fabricated containing a multitude of cavities in shapes for molding dobies for supporting concrete reinforcing, such as rebar. The trays are sized to fit boxes of a convenient size and weight. The trays are also designed in a way that when placed into the box they make a seal between the tray edges and the inside wall of the box. This seal allows the cavities in the tray to be filled with grout without spilling into a lower tray. The trays are also designed so that when placed into the box and turned, alternating 180° to each other, the lower tray provides support to the upper tray. The boxes are sealed and the dobies are allowed to cure inside the box. The size and arrangement of trays and boxes is designed to fit uniformly on a standard pallet for convenient handling, storage, and shipping.

  • Patent number: 7524180
Abstract: In embodiments, the invention relates to an apparatus for applying a texture to pliable surfaces such as concrete panels used in construction of walls, sound barriers and other imprinted surfaces. The apparatus includes a main frame and a lift frame connected to the main frame with actuators. The actuators are operable to move the lift frame vertically. A flexible face is connected to the lift frame by a number of push devices. The push devices may be operated to apply force to a top surface of the flexible face. Attached to a bottom surface of the flexible face is a textured liner for applying a design to the pliable surfaces. The lift frame and the push devices operate to lay the flexible face flat on a pliable surface to imprint the design on the pliable surface. After imprinting the design, the flexible face is peeled away from the pliable surface.

  • Patent number: 5651659
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for manipulating concrete products having first and second ends. The apparatus comprises first and second engaging assemblies for engaging the first and second ends of the product. The engaging assemblies are mounted on a structural assembly. At least one of the engaging assemblies is displaced along the structural assembly towards the other of the engaging assemblies to grip the concrete product therebetween. A rotational actuator may be provided for each of the engaging assemblies for rotating the concrete product from a casting orientation into an installation orientation. The structural assembly may accommodate one or more sets of engaging assemblies and may be designed to allow fine adjustment of these assemblies relative to the concrete products to be manipulated.

  • Patent number: 5202132
Abstract: Overall production line equipment is utilized in producing many large concrete panels, in an initial horizontal position, during each day of many operational days, with these panels preferably being later installed vertically with other like panels to form a sound barrier alongside a vehicle way. Each concrete panel has its own integral pilasters at respective edges, in turn having respective tongue and groove edges; respective patterns and color accents on each side, with the pattern on the then top side being formed by using a rockable stamp subassembly, mounted on a cart; reinforcing throughout the panels, inclusive of the integral pilasters; lifting subassemblies; and anchoring subassemblies, adapted to be later mated with a receiving subassembly anchored in a concrete footing, located where the panel with other panels forms a sound barrier alongside vehicle ways.
