    Abstract: A device for retaining a fishing hook or single hook of a fishing lure when the same is not in use. The device includes an apertured, longitudinally extending tubular member with the aperture in a side wall therof. A locking member is threadably received through one end of the tubular member and extends therein to abut with a hook received within the aperture. A single or a pair of clamps are arranged along the tubular member for attachment of the device to the rod.
