    Abstract: A hard disk drive protection and recovery system permits recovery even if the operating system (e.g., MS-Windows, etc.) has crashed, failed, or been disabled/tampered with. If the recovery hardware is not found, the operating system cannot be loaded and the computer is disabled. The invention creates multiple recovery points and automatically selects a preferred point for recovery operations or sequentially applies restoration/back-up points in time order.
