Abstract: The present invention discloses a device, kit and a method for the treatment of a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit. Moreover, a device and kit for treatment of a hair growth disorder is disclosed. The kit for treating a hair growth disorder may comprise at least one formulation comprising a hair growth modulating agent and at least one electrically powered device for promoting delivery of the hair growth modulating agent into and/or onto the body area. Preferably, the device is a thin and flexible patch. Methods of using such a device/kit for treatment of a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit is also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to stable oleaginous cosmetic or therapeutic foam compositions containing certain active agents, having unique therapeutic properties and methods of treatment using such compositions. The foamable composition includes at least one solvent selected from a hydrophobic solvent, a silicone oil, an emollient, a co-solvent, and mixtures thereof, wherein the solvent is present at a concentration of about 70% to about 96.5% by weight of the total composition, at least a non-ionic surface-active agent at a concentration of about 0.1% to less than about 10% by weight of the total composition; at least one gelling agent at a concentration of about 0.1% to about 5% by weight of the total composition; a therapeutically effective amount of at least one active agent; and at least one liquefied or compressed gas propellant, at a concentration of about 3% to about 25% by weight of the total composition.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a foamable composition of matter comprising iodine, water, a foam adjuvant, a surface-active agent and a gelling agent. This foamable composition, which may be provided in a propellant free foaming device, or alternatively may further comprise a propellant, evolves into foam, which is effective in the topical treatment and prevention of various skin disorders.

Abstract: A method, device and kit for body decoration. Embodiments of the kit include an ink suitable for body decoration, means for applying the ink to a desired body area, and an electrically powered patch detachably coupled to the application means to promote penetration of the ink into the body area. Embodiments of the device include a fully integrated patch device. The patch device integrates the elements of a kit (i.e., a color formulation, a means for applying, and a patch) into a stand-alone patch. Embodiments of the method include contacting the desired body area with a means for applying, applying ink through the means for applying, and promoting penetration of the ink into the body area with the patch by applying electric current to the ink application. Exemplary applications include temporary and permanent tattooing, applying semi-permanent cosmetics, animal tattooing, and administering therapeutic treatments.
