    Abstract: A cushioned cover for protecting the exposed metal parts of a hitch assembly. In its preferred embodiment, the cover is comprised of tubular segments. The segments are transected longitudinally by a seam which allows the cover to be opened and easily placed over a hitch assembly. The invention further comprises cinching straps which allow the cover to be tightly fastened to the hitch assembly.
