  • Patent number: 7588042
Abstract: A folding shaft for umbrellas includes a first section having a circular cross section and the first section is retractably received in a second section which includes an enclosed cross section which includes a plurality of straight sides and a plurality of first curved portions connected between the straight sides. A third section is movably mounted to the second section and including an enclosed cross section which includes a plurality of inward curved sides and a plurality of second curved portions connected between the inward curved sides. The inward curved sides of the third section are located corresponding to the straight sides of the second section. The second curved portions of the third section are located corresponding to the first curved portions. The gap between these sections can be controlled to be the minimum.

  • Patent number: 7575009
Abstract: A mechanism for opening and collapsing an umbrella includes a runner which has two lockers pivotably connected thereto and an operation collar is movably mounted to the shaft of the umbrella so as to operate the two lockers. Each of the lockers is a curved member and pivotably connected to the runner by a pivot. Two ends of the each locker are pivotable relative to the pivot in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the runner. The user simply moves the operation collar to pivot the lockers to open and collapse the umbrella.

  • Publication number: 20070277862
Abstract: A handle assembly for umbrellas includes a switch connected to the frame which is received in the handle and the switch is accessed via an opening defined in the handle. An operation member is rotatably mounted to the handle and positioned a first position and a second position. The first position of the operation member is located to cover the switch and the second position of the operation member is located to uncover the switch. The operation member can be replaced by a cap which is pivotably or rotatably connected to the handle to cover or uncover the switch.

  • Publication number: 20040105279
Abstract: A light-emitting device is provided with a light diffusing shade corresponding to and enclosing a plurality of light-emitting elements of the light-emitting device to diffuse light beams emitted from the light-emitting elements, so that the diffused light beams are evenly projected toward an outer casing of the device. Therefore, the light-emitting device with the light diffusing shade solves the problem of intensified light spots presented on the outer casing of the light-emitting device using light-emitting diode as a light-emitting element thereof, and is suitable for cases where soft light is needed.

  • Publication number: 20040036496
Abstract: An electronic load simulation circuit includes a current detection resistor for connection with positive and negative terminals of a power source device to be tested. A power transistor is connected between the current detection resistor and the positive terminal of the power source device. The gate of the power transistor is connected to an output of an operational amplifier. A negative input of the operational amplifier is connected to a reference current setting unit. A serially connected impedance element having a resistance much larger than the impedance of the power transistor is connected between the power transistor and the power source device whereby a major portion of the power supplied from the power source device is taken by the serially connected impedance element with only a minor portion being taken by the power transistor.

  • Patent number: 6329766
Abstract: A digital illumination adjusting circuit used to adjust the output to a power level of an alternating load via a digital setting manner is disclosed. The digital illumination adjusting circuit includes a microprocessor unit, a power phase detecting circuit, a time base signal generating circuit, a display, and an input pad. The microprocessor unit receives a phase synchronization signal from the power phase detecting circuit, utilizing half cycle of the alternating current power as a counting period, utilizing a time base signal generated from the time base signal generating circuit as counting pulses for the counting period. The microprocessor generates a switch control signal for controlling a conductive angle of the switch circuit which in turn controls the power output to the load.
