  • Patent number: 11946875
Abstract: A method for use in optical measurements on patterned structures, the method including performing a number of optical measurements on a structure with a measurement spot configured to provide detection of light reflected from an illuminating spot at least partially covering at least two different regions of the structure, the measurements including detecting light reflected from the at least part of the at least two different regions within the measurement spot, the detected light including interference of at least two complex electric fields reflected from the at least part of the at least two different regions, and being therefore indicative of a phase response of the structure, carrying information about properties of the structure.

  • Publication number: 20220012655
Abstract: Systems and methods use for preventing work accidents. In one implementation, a system may determine least one characteristic of a task scheduled to take place in an industrial environment. The system may use first synergy data from at least three types of safety-related information and the at least one characteristic of the task to determine that a predicted risk score of the scheduled task is below a first threshold. Thereafter, the system may obtain real-time information indicative of human error of at least one employee associated with the task. The system may use second synergy data from the at least three types of safety-related information and real-time information to determine that an actual risk score of the task has changed from the predicted risk score. When the actual risk score of the task is above a second threshold, the system may initiate a remedial action to prevent an accident.

The system may use first synergy data from at least three types of safety-related information and the at least one characteristic of the task to determine that a predicted risk score of the scheduled task is below a first threshold. Thereafter, the system may obtain real-time information indicative of the integrity of an industrial apparatus. The system may use second synergy data indicative of a change in the integrity of industrial apparatus and real-time information to determine that an actual risk score of the task has changed from the predicted risk score. When the actual risk score of the task is above a second threshold, the system may initiate a remedial action to manage a hazard associated with process safety.

  • Publication number: 20200202472
Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems for adapting a safety management system to changing risks. The methods and systems include receiving from a plurality of sensors information pertaining to an execution of a first task in the industrial environment by a first set of employees including a first employee; following a completion of the first task, presenting to the first employee a debriefing questionnaire pertaining to the execution of the first task; processing the debriefing responses to determine a new safety-related risk for at least one object; receiving details of a second task scheduled to take place in the industrial environment by a second set of employees including a second employee; determining that execution of the second task involves usage of the at least object; and generating for the second employee briefing information that includes new briefing data for mitigating risks in the execution of second task.

  • Publication number: 20200202281
Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems for reducing risks of work accidents in an industrial environment comprising a plurality of smart card readers each associated with a respective location in the industrial environment, caused by employees of external contractors. The methods and systems comprising: providing a plurality of smart cards; providing an employees' database comprising data associated with the plurality of employees of the external contractors; obtaining information from a smart card reader, where the information is indicative of a presence of a specific employee at a specific area; retrieving data stored in the employees' database that relates to the specific employee; retrieving data stored in a task database relating to at least one task associated with the specific area of the industrial environment; and taking one or more safety related decisions based on data retrieved from the employees' database and on data retrieved from the task database.

  • Publication number: 20200202471
Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems for providing different real-time safety information at a plurality of locations within an industrial environment. The methods and systems include updating a common real-time events overview report based on received information; processing the common events overview report to identify a safety-related threat affecting at least one task associated with the industrial environment; identifying at least one employee and a safety supervisor associated with the at least one task; generating a first display derived from the common events overview report, wherein the first display includes information for assisting the at least one employee to deal with the identified safety-related threat; and generating a second display derived from the common events overview report, wherein the second display includes information for assisting the safety supervisor to deal with the identified safety-related threat, wherein the second display differs from the first display.
