  • Patent number: 12596321
Abstract: In an example of the disclosure, a system for identification of gas conveyance malfunctions includes a channel situated to convey a subject gas, a condenser in fluid connection with the channel, and a heat blower positioned in fluid connection with the channel. The heat blower is to heat the subject gas, and to cause the subject gas to move through the channel towards the condenser. The system includes a temperature sensor situated to take a temperature reading of the subject gas within or adjacent the channel. The system includes a controller, operatively connected to the temperature sensor. The controller is to identify a malfunction event for the heat blower, the condenser, or the channel based upon a comparison of the temperature reading to a threshold temperature.

  • Patent number: 11029619
Abstract: An example method of printing images in an electrophotographic printer is provided. The method includes developing a first image on a first portion of an intermediate transfer member by receiving a first sequence of color separations from a photo imaging member, and developing a second image on a second portion of the intermediate transfer member by receiving a second sequence of color separations from the photo imaging member. A voltage is applied to the intermediate transfer member during receipt of each color separation from the photo imaging member. During development of the second image at least one null separation is inserted into the second sequence of color separations. During a period for the null separation, a voltage applied to the intermediate transfer member is reduced and the first image is transferred to a conductive substrate.

  • Patent number: 10864718
Abstract: An embossing apparatus includes an embossing die that includes a printed relief pattern made up of multiple layers of a deposited material. A resilient surface presses media against the embossing die such that embossed features corresponding to the embossing die are formed in the media. A method for embossing media includes forming an embossing die by depositing multiple layers of ink on a impression layer to form a relief pattern and pressing media against the embossing die to transfer the relief image to the media.

  • Patent number: 10852680
Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus for preparing a print substrate. A surface resistivity of a print substrate comprising a conductive layer is determined. The determined surface resistivity is compared to a print range having a lower threshold value for the surface resistivity of the print substrate and an upper threshold value for the surface resistivity of the print substrate. If the determined resistivity of the print substrate is outside the print range, a surface modification is selected to adjust the determined surface resistivity of the print substrate to fall within the print range. The selected surface modification is applied to the top layer of the print substrate.

  • Patent number: 10588221
Abstract: A method for forming on a substrate (108; 214) a pattern of a material, the method comprising: providing (S100) a material layer (104); providing (S104, S106) an adhesive layer (106), wherein at least one of the material layer (104) or the adhesive layer (106) comprises a pattern corresponding to the pattern to be formed on the substrate (108; 214); and transferring (S108) the material to the substrate (108; 214) with the adhesive fixing the material to a surface (110; 216) of the substrate (108; 214). This solves the problem of forming on a substrate a pattern of a material that, in general, cannot be applied to the substrate directly due to the fact that the material cannot be printed and/or has no or reduced adherence properties with respect to the substrate.
