  • Publication number: 20090315069
Abstract: Disclosed is a light emitting diode (LED) device that comprises a crystal structure of a sapphire substrate-free gallium nitride (GaN) LED, wherein the crystal structure is mounted on a first surface of a sub-mount substrate in the form of a unit chip, and the first surface of the sub-mount substrate has a surface area greater than the surface area of a region in which the unit chip is bonded. Preforms for manufacturing the LED device and a method for manufacturing the LED device are also disclosed. The sapphire substrate, on which the crystal structure of the light emitting diode has grown, is processed into a unit chip before being removed. Thus, any crack in the crystal structure of the light emitting diode that may occur during the removal of the sapphire substrate can be prevented. Therefore, a thin light emitting diode device can be manufactured in a mass production system.

  • Publication number: 20060071883
Abstract: An electro-luminescence display device includes a plurality of column lines, a plurality of first row lines and a plurality of second row lines. The plurality of first row lines cross the column lines and a first scan signal is supplied thereto. The plurality of second row lines intersects the column lines and a second scan signal is supplied thereto. Organic light emitting devices are formed at pixel areas which are defined by the column lines and the first and second row lines. At least two drive switches operate to drive the organic light emitting devices. The second scan signal applies later than the first scan signal to activate the drive switches. A kickback voltage is generated upon a voltage change of the first row line. A kickback compensation circuit operates to cancel the kickback voltage.

  • Publication number: 20010006360
Abstract: A microwave filter is disclosed, which filters only a signal of a desired band in a radio communication system. The microwave filter includes a plurality of feed lines and resonators on an upper portion of a substrate, and a ground surface below the substrate. Each of the resonators includes coupled meander lines, the meander lines having three or more sections. The resonators are arranged in such a manner that the adjacent resonators are symmetrical to each other. The feed lines are formed at one side of the resonators at both edges, and are coupled spaced apart from the resonators in parallel to the resonators. Thus, the microwave filter can be fabricated at a small size because the meander-lined resonators have a small size. The microwave filter also has excellent transmission characteristics such as pseudo-elliptic characteristics.
