The techniques create and display the multi-dimensional matrix from aligning identified peaks, so that the matrix can be readily overlayed with an automatically-identified signal pattern indicative of one or more of an arrhythmia, a precursor to an arrhythmia, a cardiac event, and/or a precursor to a cardiac even.
