  • Patent number: 8156719
Abstract: A packaging apparatus for real-time alignment of packaging surfaces can include two or more sensors for detecting the positioning of carton surfaces and a servo system. The servo system can include a servo motor and a controller. The servo system records the positioning of the carton surfaces and calculates a difference in position. The controller compares the calculated value with a predetermined value and if necessary, the servo motor turns a correction wheel to align the carton surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20070142184
Abstract: A bicycle trainer is adapted for use with a bicycle. The trainer includes a base and a frame having spaced apart ends adapted to engage and support the bicycle. A pivoting assembly is joined to the frame at a central portion of the frame and to the base. The pivoting assembly allows movement between the frame and the base and includes a biasing mechanism that resists tilting of the frame relative to the base. The frame is supported only by the pivoting assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070123397
Abstract: A locking mechanism includes a tube and a rod slidable with respect to the tube. A driving mechanism is adapted to engage the rod to provide movement of the rod relative to the tube and a locking mechanism is used to lock the rod in a locking position.

  • Publication number: 20070022882
Abstract: The material compactor generally includes a feed apparatus and a final compaction apparatus. The final compaction apparatus generally includes a compaction chamber having confronting compression plates and an adjustably taperable portion. The area of the inner cavity of the final compaction chamber can be adjusted to become measurably smaller (tapered) or larger at the opened discharge or expelling end. Consequently, compacting movement of the material within the compaction chamber and through the chamber significantly subjects the material to restrictive compacting pressure which in turn compacts the material and performs liquid separation with each operationally continuous movement through the final compaction apparatus and out an open discharge port.

  • Publication number: 20050075220
Abstract: A bearing assembly is mounted onto the shaft of a rotating wheel of a bicycle exerciser, wherein the rotating wheel is driven by a person on a bicycle. The bearing assembly is loaded so that the inner and outer portions of the bearing assembly are urged in a manner to create a drag on the bearing assembly that is transmitted to the rolling wheel.

  • Patent number: 6822498
Abstract: A clock system for providing a high-speed clock signal to a plurality of integrated circuits is disclosed. The clock system includes an analog signal generator for producing a periodic analog signal of a predetermined frequency and fanout circuitry. The fanout circuitry is coupled to the analog signal generator and includes a transmission line and an RF coupler. The system further includes a plurality of receivers. Each receiver has reference signal input circuitry and clock signal input circuitry. Both the reference signal circuitry and the clock signal circuitry are receptive to coupling locally generated common mode noise. The clock signal circuitry is disposed proximate the RF coupler to provide an RF coupling therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5432747
Abstract: A self-timing clock generator for use with a precharged Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). The invention asynchronously switches the memory clock pulse to a precharge signal upon recognition of completion of a memory access cycle. Recognition of completion of the memory access cycle is performed in one of two ways. The first method monitors for the existence of a preprogrammed memory-completion bit which becomes active at the same time that read or write data becomes valid at the data outputs. The second method monitors for the existence of a memory-completion bit generated through the use of an odd parity generator. An alternate clocking method is provided to bypass the asynchronous self-timing clock generator, and to allow for synchronous clocking of the precharged SRAM. An external clocking method is also provided to directly clock the precharged SRAM.

  • Patent number: 5289119
Abstract: A test circuit for two level latches on an integrated circuit to be tested includes a test enable driver circuit coupled to a third level switch which is connected in series between the latches to be tested and a low voltage source. The third level switch converts the two level latches to be tested into a buffer such that data applied as an input to the two level latches appears in identical form as data at the output pin of the integrated circuit chip.
