  • Publication number: 20060225284
Abstract: A header assembly for use in a composite roller includes a core having a radially outwardly facing surface. A head is formed around the outwardly facing surface and extends radially from the outwardly facing surface. The head includes a first axially extending face and a second axially extending face facing away from the first axially extending face. In one embodiment, an axially opening channel is formed in the head for receiving at least one balancing weight. In another embodiment, the head is formed from a curable moldable material molded around a metal core.

  • Publication number: 20060009297
Abstract: A coupling for transmitting torque between two shafts approximately aligned on a shaft axis, and a method of making the coupling. The coupling can accommodate axial, lateral, and angular shaft misalignments without the problems associated with prior art couplings includes an arcuate flexible center element having two axially spaced radially extending leg portions joined by an axially extending bridging portion. The axially extending bridging portion has at least two opposing re-entrant folds defining a T-shaped cross-section in a radial plane extending from and along the shaft axis.

  • Publication number: 20050209010
Abstract: A composite shaft assembly includes a core having an outwardly facing surface. At least one structure embedded in a resilient material extends from the outwardly facing surface. The outwardly facing surface defines an outer surface spaced from the outwardly facing surface which is fixable to an inner surface of a composite shaft.
