  • Publication number: 20170016489
Abstract: A disconnect mechanism includes an input shaft defining a drive axis. A disconnect shaft is selectably engaged with the input shaft to be driven about the drive axis by the input shaft. A disconnect ramp shaft is operatively connected to the disconnect shaft to axially move the disconnect shaft between a first axial position wherein the disconnect shaft is engaged to the input shaft and a second axial position wherein the disconnect shaft is disengaged from the input shaft. The disconnect ramp shaft includes a ramp defined around an outer surface thereof. A disconnect pawl is selectably engaged with the ramp of the disconnect ramp shaft to engage or disengage the disconnect shaft from the input shaft.

  • Publication number: 20160305491
Abstract: A disconnect shaft of an integrated drive generator is provided including a body configured to rotate about an axis of rotation. The body has a first end, a second opposite end, and a plurality of teeth formed adjacent the first end and configured to engage a complementary portion of an adjacent component. A relief is formed in the body such that a first portion is defined between the relief and the plurality of teeth. The first portion includes a plurality of threads having at least one of a major diameter between about 1.3044 and about 1.3125 inches (3.313-3.334 centimeters), a minor diameter between about 1.2482 and about 1.2547 inches (3.170-3.187 centimeters), a pitch diameter between about 1.2765 and about 1.2800 inches (3.242-3.251 centimeters), and a root radius between about 0.0075 and 0.0090 inches (0.0190-0.0029 centimeters).

  • Patent number: 7922566
Abstract: A cutting head for a water jet cutting machine includes a base with a bore and an orifice member having an inlet, an outlet, and a passage extending between the inlet and outlet which increases velocity of fluid flowing through the passage to form a fluid jet. A wear insert has first and second ends, a passage extending between the two ends, the body second end being connected with the base and the body first end supporting the orifice member. A fluid focusing device includes a tubular body with a central passage having inlet and discharge ports, the tubular body being disposable within the base bore such that the body inlet port is fluidly coupleable with the orifice outlet. The tubular body and/or the base are/is configured such that the tubular body is separately positionable at one of a plurality of discrete, predetermined angular positions about the base bore axis.

  • Patent number: 6717389
Abstract: A method and apparatus for substantially eliminating ripple and transient voltage using a current controlled voltage regulator. Current control (460) senses load current (iL) changes and produces control voltage (VCONTROL) in response to the load current changes. The control voltage increases the conductivity state of shunt transistor (470) such that any deficit of current caused by load changes at load (420) during a positive voltage transient is conducted through shunt transistor (470). The control voltage decreases the conductivity state of shunt transistor (470) such that any excessive current caused by load (420) during a negative voltage transient is balanced by the reduction of current in shunt transistor (470).

  • Patent number: 5894784
Abstract: A backup washer for clamping a diaphragm having a flexible washer disposed next to a rigid washer, the flexible washer including a material less stiff than a material of the rigid washer. The flexible washer may include an elastomer material such as rubber. A flexible washer having a varied stiffness profile may also be provided to the face by incorporating materials having different stiffnesses, contouring, or both. The rigid washer may include a metal, plastic, composite materials, or combinations of these and may also be bowed or ribbed. The flexible washer and rigid washer of the backup washer may mechanically fastened, bonded, or molded together. A diaphragm pump having a diaphragm which is clamped by at least one backup washer having a flexible washer which includes a material less stiff than the material of the diaphragm and a rigid washer next to the flexible washer which includes a material more stiff than the diaphragm material.

  • Patent number: 5473110
Abstract: A surface-compliant, removable and reusable EMI shielding cover for attenuating EMI emanation from openings in a shielding structure. An electrically conductive sheet or web is held over an opening in the shielding structure by an associated magnetic sheet, which is attracted to the metal shielding structure. The electrically conductive sheet or web, and the magnetic sheet are made of flexible material so that physical protrusions or non-planar surfaces on the shielding structure do not prevent the resulting EMI shielding cover from making complete contact around the periphery of an opening which is to be shielded. The conductive sheet and magnetic sheet can be made into a single composite EMI shield by applying an adhesive layer between the conductive sheet and the magnetic sheet.

  • Patent number: 5037283
Abstract: Vane type positive displacement pump includes three separate vane type pump units on a single shaft, with spacers between the middle pump unit and both end pump units for axially positioning the pump vanes for the middle pump unit at both ends and axially positioning the pump vanes for the two end pump units at one end. The shaft has reduced diameter journal portions adjacent opposite ends of the barrel portion for the middle pump unit on which the spacers are mounted. Also, the outer diameter of the barrel portions for the two end pump units corresponds to the outer diameter of the journal portions for the spacers. At the other end of the end pump units are end bearings for axially positioning the vanes for the end pump units at such other ends.
