    Abstract: An insole for ventilating shoes or boots comprising an air intake passage, an inflatable elastic bladder, an air exhaust passage, a ventilating capillary, and valve means. The bladder is formed along the peripheral area of the heel portion of the insole. Periodic application and release of pressure to the bladder causes air to flow out of the ventilating capillaries, thus cooling and drying the foot.
