Abstract: The present invention relates to antiperspirant compositions comprising a cationic hydrophobically modified polymeric gelling agent and an acidic antiperspirant compound. The antiperspirant compositions are transparent, phase stable, non-whitening and non-staining to the skin and clothing following topical application. The present invention also is directed to methods of using the antiperspirant compositions.

Abstract: The present invention is an aqueous, non-alcoholic liquid powder formulation. The aqueous, non-alcoholic liquid powder formulation comprises from about 14% to about 75% by weight of the formulation of water, from about 25% to about 60% by weight of the formulation of a powder, from about 0.05% to about 1% by weight of the formulation of a polymeric emulsifier, from about 0.5% to about 15% by weight of the formulation of a low molecular weight silicone wherein the low molecular weight silicone has an average molecular weight of about 10,000 or less, and from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the formulation of a high molecular weight silicone wherein the high molecular weight silicone has an average molecular weight of about 100,000 or greater. The aqueous, non-alcoholic liquid powder formulation may have an optical uniformity index of about 0.1 or less. The aqueous, non-alcoholic liquid powder formulation may have an extensive uniformity index of about 300 or greater.

The skin care compositions of the invention are stable on the bodyside liners of absorbent articles despite not containing an immobilizing agent. Surprisingly, the skin care compositions of the invention even demonstrate less migration away from the bodyside liner than do other compositions that contain so-called “immobilizing agents”. The compositions of the invention possess physical properties, such as melting points, viscosities and hardnesses, comparable to compositions containing immobilizing agents, making them suitable for use on absorbent articles.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for improving the skin health of wearers of absorbent articles. Wet wipes are typically used in conjunction with absorbent articles for cleansing. It has been discovered that non-aqueous skin care compositions are best delivered from a bodyfacing surface of an absorbent article and that hydrophilic skin care solutions are capable of delivering anti-irritants to the skin. It has further been discovered that the combination of an absorbent article having a skin care composition and a wet wipe having a skin care solution provides improved transfer of skin care ingredients to the skin.

Abstract: The present invention relates to absorbent articles including compositions having improved rheological properties. The compositions of the invention exhibit improved spreading characteristics and would provide a more even distribution of skin care compounds on the skin of the wearer of the absorbent articles. The improved spreading characteristics are quantified by a Tangent Delta measurement. The present invention also relates to absorbent articles including compositions that contain silicone elastomers.

The hydrophilic lotion formulation comprises from about 10 to about 90 weight percent of a hydrophilic solvent, from about 5 to about 90 weight percent of a high molecular weight polyethylene glycol, and from about 0 to about 60 weight percent of a fatty alcohol. The hydrophilic lotion formulation has a reduced adverse effect on the absorbent and liquid uptake properties of the liner and the absorbent body when compared to conventional lipophilic or hydrophobic lotion formulations. The hydrophilic lotion formulation acts as a lubricant to reduce the abrasion of the skin caused by the liner and also transfers to the skin to provide improved skin health.
