  • Patent number: 11921086
Abstract: A device and method for mounting sensors to components comprising a mounting pad adapted for adhesive attachment to the component and further including a feature allowing for a secondary restraint. In various variations, the sensor may be an accelerometer, vibration sensor, temperature sensor or other sensor. The feature and secondary restraint may include one or more holes in the mounting pad for attachment by safety wire or other restraint to provide limited movement in the case of adhesive failure.

  • Publication number: 20180347591
Abstract: An apparatus for balancing a fan or other spinning product may comprise a motor for spinning the fan, an accelerometer for gathering sampling data from the fan while it is spinning, a laser source, a laser redirection platform comprising a spinning mirror configured to track the rotational speed of the spinning fan, and a control module. The fan and laser redirection platform may each have an index hole for tracking, using respective photocell transmitters and receivers, rotational speed and phase. The control module may direct the fan motor to spin up the fan, collect balance data, and determine a location on the fan for burning a hole to correct imbalance. The control module may direct the laser redirection platform to spin at the same rpm as the fan, and such that a laser redirection mirror directs a laser beam from the laser source toward the target burn location on the fan.

  • Patent number: 8041723
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for identifying premium content items (such as video content items) that are responsive to a query. According to one embodiment, a method for identifying one or more items of video content responsive to a given query comprises receiving a query comprising one or more terms from a given user, identifying one or more items of video content responsive to the received query and generating a result set comprising one or more links to the one or more items of video content responsive to the received query. The one or more links in the result set associated with items of premium video content are identified and the one or more links in the result set associated with items of premium video content are filtered on the basis of information associated with the user from which the query was received.
