Abstract: A surgical irrigator is coupled to a multi-prong connection that is capable of coupling multiple irrigation bags simultaneously. The multi-prong connection comprises a plurality of inlets to a single outlet that is used to supply irrigation fluid to the irrigator. By selecting the length of tubing, diameter of tubing, height of the bags, or a combination of these parameters, a system is designed such that an irrigation bag empties and may be replaced earlier than at least one of the other bags coupled to the irrigator. A system and methods of using such system may be designed to prevent any disruption of irrigation.
