  • Patent number: 11175721
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include instructions that may cause the processor to identify, for a first device state, a first set of active components of a device and to determine a first power demand level of the first set of active components for the first device state. The instructions may also cause the processor to determine that the device is to transition from the first device state to a second device state, to determine, for the second device state, a second set of active components of the device having a second power demand level that is within a predefined difference level of the first power demand level, the predefined difference level to smooth power delivery to the device between the first device state and the second device state, and to control application of power to the second set of active components during the second device state.

  • Patent number: 11110725
Abstract: Power allocation in printing devices is disclosed. Independent load requests are received from printing device heater systems. Power grants are allocated based on a general power arbitration of a power source in response to the independent load requests. A power grant is adjusted based on a contextual printing condition to provide an adjusted grant from the power source to a printing device heater system of the printing device heater systems. The adjusted grant is based on a power grant limit corresponding with the contextual printing condition.

  • Patent number: 11105857
Abstract: Described herein are techniques that facilitate the prediction of the end-of-life of a direct current (DC) motor of an apparatus. The described techniques include tracking end-of-life indicative motor-response values of a DC motor based on an applied-voltage value at its corresponding specified speed of the DC motor when the motor is engaged, in response to the determination that the tracked values exceed a range of acceptable operational values, a health-status notification regarding that DC motor is generated. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 11023185
Abstract: In one example, collective awareness of supplies includes several operations. A remaining level for each supply in a printer device within a fleet of printer devices is measured. A predicted usage model for each supply from a history of supply usage for printed pages over time in the printer device and other printer devices of the fleet of printer devices is calculated. A system intervention event based on the predicted usage model and remaining level for each supply in the printer device is determined. The system intervention event is communicated to a responsible party.

  • Publication number: 20210096486
Abstract: Power allocation in printing devices is disclosed. A first load request is received from a first heater system having a first thermal time constant and a second load request is received from a second heater system having a second thermal time constant. Power grants are allocated based on a general power arbitration of a power source in response to the independent load requests. The power grants include a first power grant based on the first load request and a second power grant based on the second load request. The power grants are adjusted to apportion a measure of the first power grant to the second power grant rather than provide the measure of the first power grant to the first heater system if a print substance density is within a selected print substance density threshold and the first load request is within a selected load threshold.
