  • Patent number: 10550009
Abstract: Methods of treating a high suspended solids liquor having a waste stream and a suspended solids content including powdered activated carbon and biological material by contacting the high suspended solids liquor with a membrane unit are disclosed. Methods of treating a waste stream by combining the waste stream with powdered activated carbon and biological material to produce the high suspended solids liquor and contacting the high suspended solids liquor with a membrane unit are also disclosed. Treatment systems including a membrane unit fluidly connected to a source of a high suspended solids liquor are disclosed. Treatment systems including a bioreactor fluidly connected to a source of a waste stream and a membrane unit are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130192008
Abstract: A method is disclosed for connecting a trailer ramp to a trailer. The method includes providing a trailer, wherein either two housing members or two pins are affixed to the trailer. The method further includes providing a ramp, wherein the other of the two housing members or the two pins are affixed to the ramp. Each of the housing members comprises a hollowed-out cylindrical stock having a tubular portion and a semi-tubular portion and the semi-tubular portion has a cutaway that forms a substantially half-tubular surface. A single person then initially engages the semi-tubular portion of the first housing member with the first pin, initially engages the semi-tubular portion of the second housing member with the second pin, and finally slides the ramp along the length of the pins to fully engage the pins into the tubular portions of the housing members.

  • Patent number: 4746100
Abstract: In order to overcome the disadvantage of overspinning of a winch drum when a disconnect device adjacent the drum is disengaged, a drag brake apparatus is provided for limitedly restricting the rotation of the drum when an actuator having a braking element is continually urged against the drum by a spring. A control mechanism includes a control lever assembly movable to operate a hydraulic valve assembly for the primary control of the winch drum, and movable to operate an associated valve for controllably directing pressurized fluid to the actuator for supplementing the spring force. Thus, a first drag brake mode can be attained for substantially freespool operation of the drum, and a second drag brake mode can be attained for controlled load dropping operation of the drum.

  • Patent number: 4043374
Abstract: A wheel rim assembly comprises a pair of annular rim sections each having a rim flange secured on an outboard end thereof for retaining an air-inflated tire thereon. A pair of back-to-back mounting flanges extend radially inwardly from inboard ends of the rim sections and are bolted together. One of the mounting flanges preferably extends radially inwardly beyond the other mounting flange and is adapted to be bolted to an axle hub of a vehicle. At least two latch means are mounted on peripheral portions of the rim sections to straddle the same for releasably attaching them together. Carrying forth the method of this invention, the tire is first deflated whereby a tool may be inserted through an opening formed through one of the rim sections to release the latch means to provide for separation of the rim sections upon release of the bolts.
