  • Patent number: 8479789
Abstract: A solid rubber tire with a multiplicity of self-pumping vent holes formed into opposed spaced apart sidewalls of the solid rubber tire. The self-pumping vent holes each extend from the side walls into the solid rubber tire about one-half the spaced apart distance and parallel to the rotation axis of the tire. Each of the multiplicity of self-pumping vent holes has a maximum cross-sectional dimension of between 0.5% and 1.5% of the maximum tire diameter. Any and all parts of the solid rubber material in the tire are at a distance of less than 12% of the original maximum diameter of the tire from any one of the multiplicity of self-pumping vent holes so that heat that may result in the solid rubber tire from its use is dissipated and temperature of the rubber in the tire is reduced by pumping of air into and out of the multiplicity of self-pumping vent holes upon rolling contact with the ground.

  • Patent number: 7726049
Abstract: A squeegee blade includes a mounting plate with a surface. A relatively rigid support member is attached to the surface of the mounting plate and a relatively flexible blade is attached to the surface of the mounting plate adjacent to the support member so that the blade is supported by the support member against compression toward the mounting plate.

  • Publication number: 20080179940
Abstract: A solid rubber tire with a flexible drive hub having a multiplicity of hub ribs and grooves formed around the periphery of the flexible drive hub and a solid rubber tire tread replaceably mounted on the flexible drive hub having a multiplicity of interior tread grooves and ribs formed around an interior surface of the tire tread, the tread grooves and ribs sized and shaped for interlocking engagement with the multiplicity of ribs and grooves formed around the periphery of the flexible drive hub.

  • Patent number: 7174934
Abstract: A solid rubber tire for use on vehicles such as heavy construction equipment is provided with a plurality of layers of different hardness. One of the layers is relatively softer than the other layers and holes are formed at least partially into the tire to provide added flexibility and smoothness of ride to the solid rubber tire.

  • Patent number: 5313994
Abstract: A wheel and solid rubber tire comprising a circular mounting disk having an axis perpendicular through the center of the circular disk. A wheel rim is rigidly affixed circumferentially around the mounting disk and has a cylindrical surface extending from one end of the rim to another and, axially aligned about the axis of the mounting disk. Multiple angled cross ribs having top and bottom edges rigidly affixed at the bottom edges to the cylindrical surface of the wheel rim substantially continuously thereacross at an angle from one end of the rim to the other and evenly spaced circumferentially therearound. One or more base layers of even thickness rubber are bonded to the cylindrical surface interposed between the angled cross ribs, and multiple additional layers of even thickness rubber are bonded to the one or more base layers with each additional layer bonded to the next so that a solid rubber tire is formed which is directly bonded to the wheel rim.
