  • Publication number: 20140277839
Abstract: A remote start system for a vehicle having an engine, and a vehicle data communications bus extending throughout the vehicle may include at least one external temperature sensor coupled to the vehicle data communications bus to sense an external vehicle temperature, and at least one internal temperature sensor coupled to the vehicle data communications bus to sense an internal vehicle temperature. The remote start system may also include a wireless remote control device and a controller coupled to the vehicle data communications bus to start the engine based upon the wireless remote control device and determine an idle time threshold based upon the external temperature. The controller may also stop the engine based upon reaching the idle time threshold or an internal vehicle temperature threshold.

  • Publication number: 20130303161
Abstract: A roaming telephone user in a visited network dialing a long-distance number is transferred to a substitute telephone number which is local to that network and belongs to a service center. Typically, the visited network contacts the user's home network for permission to complete the long-distance call. When that happens, the home network obtains the substitute number from a database on a telephone number server, based upon the location of the visited network, and responds to the visited network, instructing it to forward the user's call to the substitute telephone number. When the service center receives the roaming user's telephone call, it contacts the telephone number server and obtains the original long-distance number, which is stored in the database in association with the substitute telephone number. The service center is then able to route the roaming users call efficiently and cost-effectively by making use of its base of service providers.

  • Publication number: 20110291797
Abstract: A bypass module for bypassing an immobilizer of a vehicle. The immobilizer includes a transceiver for transmitting a security information request and receiving security information from a vehicle transponder key. The bypass module includes a first communication interface for interfacing with the immobilizer, a controller for processing the security information request; and a memory for storing the security information. The vehicle immobilizer of the vehicle is bypassed when the bypass module transmits via said first communication interface the security information stored on the memory to the immobilizer in response to the security information request.

  • Publication number: 20080161981
Abstract: An interface for remotely starting a vehicle equipped with an electronic starting system employing an advanced key system, such as an electronic barrel and key combination or a pushbutton. In order to recreate the vehicle's starting sequence, upon actuation of a remote control device, the interface emulates electronic signals typically transmitted to the vehicle by the electronic starting system in order to start the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20080038287
Abstract: Described is a method for identification, isolation and production of hyperimmune serum-reactive antigens from a specific pathogen, a tumor, an allergen or a tissue or host prone to autoimmunity, said antigens being suited for use in a vaccine for a given type of animal or for humans, which is characterized by the following steps: —providing an antibody preparation from a plasma pool of said given type of animal or from a human plasma pool or individual sera with antibodies against said specific pathogen, tumor, allergen or tissue or host prone to auto-immunity, —providing at least one expression library of said specific pathogen, tumor, allergen or tissue or host prone to auto-immunity, —screening said at least one expression library with said antibody preparation, —identifying antigens which bind in said screening to antibodies in said antibody preparation, —screening the identified antigens with individual antibody preparations from individual sera from individuals with antibodies against said specific pat
