  • Publication number: 20090046331
Abstract: A biodetector permits formation of an image of the inner face of the hand or of a finger of a user when the hand or the finger (101) is placed in front of an image-forming device (11), at a defined height (F). The height is adapted such that the biodetection image is sufficiently clear and is indicated to the user by means of a sign (40) projected onto the outer face of the hand or of the finger. Such a biodetector does not require the hand or finger to be applied to a support surface, and it permits intuitive and rapid use of the biodetector.

  • Publication number: 20080088890
Abstract: The invention relates to a sheet-fed scanner (300) comprising: an illumination device for emitting a luminous flux covering several spectral bands which is intended to illuminate a sheet (204) to be scanned, a focussing device (150), and a detection module (360) comprising a sensor (164) which comprises a plurality of rows (166, 168, 170) of sensitive elements, each sensitive element being provided to deliver an electrical energy that is proportional to the intensity of the luminous flux received, and each row being provided to have its sensitivity peak for one of said spectral bands, the focussing device being provided to focus, onto each of the rows, part of the luminous flux reflected by said sheet, the sheet-fed scanner (300) being characterised in that the detection module (360) comprises a non-prismatic spectral shift device (305) for shifting each part of the luminous flux thus focussed, parallel to said rows (166, 168, 170), the shift being different for each row (166, 168, 170).

  • Publication number: 20070091159
Abstract: A device for printing on a strip of paper shaped as a roll about a spool, the device comprising a housing for receiving the roll, means for supporting the roll from beneath in the housing and for horizontally centering the roll substantially on a vertical reference axis, a travel path for the strip of paper from the housing to a printer member, and a control member associated with a drive member for driving the strip of paper along the travel path, the device comprises at least one sensor for sensing the position of the spool along the vertical reference axis, the sensor being secured to at least one side face of the housing, and being connected to the control member for controlling the drive member.

  • Patent number: 7053993
Abstract: The invention concerns a laser pointing sighting system comprising a designator range finder (19) including means (E) for emitting a designating laser beam and reception means (R) for detecting and processing the reflection of a hot spot formed by said beam on a target, said reception means (R) are capable in the absence of designating beam emission by the range finder, of detecting the reflection of a hot spot formed on a target by a third designating device, the system comprising means capable, when the reception means detect such a hot spot, of being automatically oriented relative to the direction defined by said spot.

  • Patent number: 4905936
Abstract: The optical sighting device makes it possible to increase the quality of ical transmission by preventing turbulences from forming in the field of vision at high speed, by means of an airstream-deflecting device which is mounted in the turbulence formation zone and which has a profile in the form of a stem-post to dispel the air-streams laterally. In the case of transparent plane wall via which vision takes place in this zone, the deflecting device can consist of an attached plates which is connected to or located in the vicinity of the wall.

  • Patent number: 4707736
Abstract: A self-alignment device is provided for an optical infrared image observation system having essentially an input optical system, and infrared reading system, as well as a return mirror in a given position situated in the field of the optical input system so that the infrared reading system may see its own image in this mirror. Deviation measuring and slaving systems allow centering of the image to adjusted with respect to the position of the return mirror.
